I liked this one a lot better than the traditional ones. It's very light weight and really doesent affect my horses daily tasks. The only problem I have is that it rubbed some of his fir away on his mouth, however im pretty sure thats from him rubbing it on things. It does sit a little lower on there mouth than the wire basket kinds, so eating is a little more ticky, atleast for Tinker :)
I deffinitly recommend this product for anyone who has problems with a cribbing horse. It's very humane and not expensive.

My bad! This product is definitely not the same muzzle I bought before for $40.00. These are garbage. I bought two and will probably be needing a BEST FRIEND $40.00 muzzle by the end of June. My horse has been wearing it for one week and one of the bars is already broken. Sorry to all of you who gave bad reviews and I doubted you.

I have been using grazing muzzles for 5 years. The regular type was back ordered so I tried this one. My mare had it ripped completely off in mere moments. It's not even dirty! and three of the four velcro straps are ripped apart (irreparably) and one of the rubber web straps ripped out easily.
Sorry - but very disapointed with this one. Big waste of Money!

I bought this muzzle when it was $40.00 and in my opinion, it was the best $40.00 I have spent in a long while. My horse has been wearing the muzzle daily due to her wind sucking and I bought it about a year ago. Those of you have horses that destroyed it in a day or a week, oh my! One of the bars has broken off now, so I am buying another one, actually 2 since they are half price now. Thanks so much for saving my horse!

If your horse doesn't like it, it can be destroyed in one night. Barn manager watched him eat and drink with it one, but by morning, even the stitching had been pulled apart.

I have this muzzle on my FORMERLY laminitic paso. I think she did beter with it than I did :) She has lost about 150# and is maintaining well with the use of the muzzle. She can't get it off, which is great when you have a 'houdini' of a horse!

I ordered this muzzle because what I normally order is out of stock and my horse cannot go out without wearing one. She had the thin rubber piece torn and out the first day. I put it back in even though it had quite a bigger hole for her to eat through and she managed to not only tear the rubber up completely but one of the bars is gone. I had the muzzle pretty tight after the first day so that she couldn't get hte rubber piece out. I am exxtremely disappointed in this product - I ordered 2 but will never order another one. They are not worth the $!!

Very good product for your too fat horse. Attaches easily, stays put, and is effective. The rubber grazing plate does wear out over time but can be easily replaced with a hoof pad, which can be purcased from your farrier.
