Got this product with extremely high hopes and a vet recommendation to try something like this and used throughout last summer - followed directions to the letter - saw no difference in my tanks. Just simple round stock metal water tanks for horses - cleaned good to start but still had to constantly clean to keep up with slim and algae. Really wanted it to work - not for the cleaning but for the environmental impact and potential to not waste water.

I was very dissatisfied with this product. My stock tank grows more algea, faster with this water cleaner. I did everything the directions told me to do. I scrubbed the tank out, filled it with clean water and replaced the little filter packet every month and have seen nothing but negative results. Do not consider purchasing this product, it will not solve any algea problems for you.

I tried this product and put it in three of my tanks. Still had to clean the tanks every 3-4 days. Saw no different at all.

I strongly disagree with the people that say this was not worth the money. I used them last year in my tanks, and they worked very well to keep the water much cleaner that it had ever been before I started using them. It sure beats emptying out three water tanks once a week!

I bought this to help with the algae in my 100 gallon stock tank. It did nothing for the green slime that builds up around the edges and bottom of the tank. I had no problems with any other type of dirt/debris in my tank so cannot address whether this product works on that or not.
