I purchased the neck collar and the leg bands. The instructions say to not apply any other fly repellant while using. I put them on 4 horses and they all lost the collars within a week. The leg bands stay on pretty good. They did not keep the flys off at all, and they are not cheap! I do not recommend.

I bought these leg bands for my quarter horse gelding a couple of weeks ago. So, far, they have stayed in place, and, seem to be working pretty well. They do not appear to be irritating his legs where they're placed and they flies seem to be leaving him alone. No more foot stomping. I would recommend this product and plan to buy more myself.

Tried the collar on my mare. I put it on at 9 p.m. and by the next morning she had it all torn (not sure what she did). She had flies on her, maybe a few less than her pasture mates who had no protection, so no significant difference. Moved the collar to a different mare and she is wearing it better but still has flies.

I bought these because I was going to be on vacation for 5 days and wouldn't be there to put fly spray on them. When I got home the first thing I checked out were the fly bands. They were in shreds and even more disturbing the horse's legs were in awful shape underneath. Their legs were coated with a green slimy substance that had dried and they had terrible rain rot underneath. I think the rain rot was caused by the dew on the grass. I'm sure they would have rather have dealt with the flies. All this, and from what I could see, the flies were still around their legs.

I have used the collar and leg bands for the last 3 years and have had no problems or flies around my mare. I also use feed thrus as well.

I purchased the leg bands and I was astonished! They started working immediately and kept the flies at bay! This is a fantastic product! I am reordering the leg bands and this time I am ordering the neck bands. If they work half as well as the leg bands, my horses will be in heaven! There really is a Fly Free Zone around my horses.

We are a rescue and horses with all sorts of issues. have 2 that attract flies better than any fly trap known to man. one boy usualyl has, literally 10x the flies of other horses. these bands keep the flies down to a dull roar on his legs so taht he isn't constantly trickling blood and stomping until he's lame. one mare had an allergic response, tried to take it off due to itching and cut herself with teh band.

I bought one set of theses leg bandds for my mare. She was having surgery on her leg and I did not to put bug spray on her wound. After two days, both of her back ankles were swolen ad it appearred as if she had rope brun where the bands were. The bands were loose but was still causing large sores. the next day her front legs started showing sores. I discontinued using the bands. I did see a slight less number of flies on her legs during the use. I do not know if it was just a allergic reaction or what. I just suggest if you use them be sure to check your horses regularly for sores.

I put these on a white legged TB mare and the they worked right away! So far no skin problems. She isn't a larged boned horse so I don't think they will fit a big boned heavier horse. Should have other sizes. No flies are landing on her legs and no more stomping! Good product so far.

I put these leg bands on all of my pastured horses as well as the neckbands. All of them were shredded within 24 hours. By 48 hours, all the little sponges that hold the fly repellent had come out of the mesh material and the bands were no longer usable.
