We bought a front and rear pair for our POA elderly appaloosa (about 950 lbs) because we liked the fact that they had more velcro closures than most fly leg wraps. It was also encouraging that they were tapered to better fit the leg and overlap over the hoof. But when they arrived and we tried them on, they were so large, we had to cinch them so that at least half of the velcro strap was flapping in the breeze. They were still a bad fit, and through the day they slid down his leg (particularly on his rear legs) so that tehy slipped under his hooves and he wore holes in both wraps. A disappointing end for a relatively pricey item.

I've purchased both front and rear sets of these to protect my horses legs that were bloody from the flies attacking him.
My horse is a 14.2hd quarter horse. The velco will not adjust tight enough to make a good fit. After the first couple day the wraps bunch up around the foot due to looseness. Last years "model" tore at the seams after about a week of use. They seemed to have improved the 2009 version. Would be nice if they came in different sizes or at least could be more adjustable to fit better.

I was in dire need to keep my mare from getting bit so much that her white legs looked black from insects. These deffinately keeps the flies away, but she has short cannon bones so the were a bit hard to fit because they are so tall. They also twist a little bit but overall i am please not to have black legs on a white horse.

We bought 2 sets of front leg wraps. The first set only lasted 1 week before the netting pulled away from the binding. They kept slipping down and were bunched up.
On the second set I opened up the back and inserted a light-weighted
bar to hold them up. They have been on for 2 days and seem to be staying up.

I ordered these a while back and was using them on my 16.3hh Thoroughbred gelding, however, they swallowed him. Once I managed to get them tight enough, I returned the next morning and found them ripped down the back seem on his hind legs. I thought maybe I had gotten it too tight, so I re-situated them, and the next morning, they were sagged down around his fetlock.
I would NOT suggest ordering these boots unless you have a horse with very large legs or are only planning on using them for a few days. After a week, I ended up just tossing them because of the frusteration. SO not worth it...

Both of my horses are big, not draft, but these wouldn't fit either of them. Much too big- cannot be adjusted small enough for even a stocky 16 hand horse. He literally walked on them. Waste of money.

These wraps looked great on but are way too big for anaverage horse. Both my horses are big 16 hands but these would not stay in place due to being so big around their legs.

These are too big for a good size horse (16+ hands) and are WAY too big for a regular or small horse. They are durable but more hassle than help. They will not be usable past this one season. I used these daily during fly season.

They lasted about 15 minutes on my Tennessee Walker. They split at the seams, puddled around the ankles, worst fly boots ever!
