I've used this product previously, but couldn't find it for a couple of years. The first year I purchased it and four other well-known pesticide-containing fly spray products, sprayed each of my schooling horses with a different product at the beginning of a busy day - and observed what happened. Of the five products 'tested' - this one lasted the longest! It does REPEL - but doesn't kill. So if you've ridden in tick-infested woods - you may need to spray them with a permethrin-containing product to get rid of the ticks. But for flies & gnats - this product is the best repellant! BTW, also works good on the instructor as well (with no side-effects)

Thought I would try a natural product this year again. In the past when I had tried the natural stuff it had not worked well, but this one is reasonably priced and worked all day. My horses don't like the smell but then neither do the bugs and it lasts all day.

This spray is useless against biting flies. I actually sprayed it right on the flies, and they seemed to enjoy the aromatherapy as they continued to bite my horse's legs. It smells good but it doesn't work at all.

I thought that this fly spray was pretty good. It has a pretty strong smell to it and my horse does not like it to much. Although it is natural and much better for your horse so I would recommend this spray if you would want something that lasted a day.
