We have taken a 6-volt, impact-resistant solar panel that was designed for military use, and combined it with a 4-volt battery using low-impedance technology to develop the most compact, yet powerful solar-powered electric fence energizer available today. This compact energizer delivers more shocking power to a fence than larger conventional models. Low-impedance technology means 1/3 less drain on the battery. Any type of fence wire can be used, including poly wire and tape. Resists shorts when fence is in contact with weeds and grass. I had previously bought a Zabera solar fence charger that was apparently made to hold in hamsters. I could literally walk up to the fence and hang onto it and the shock wasn't enough to make me want to let go. I returned it to TSC and purchased this Fi-Shock fence charger. Let me tell you, this thing packs a punch right out of the box. I would have given a five start review, however there is not a mounting option for a T-Post. I had to put a wooden fence post in the ground to mount to. Other than that, it works great. This fencer saved me from having to run an electric line across the road to get to my new pasture.

I ordered the Fi-Shock 4-Volt Solar-Shock Fence Charger after my 6-Volt battery operated charger died. My Solar-Shock arrived 3 days after I ordered it from Country Supply.
It was easy to install (did it all by myself!).
As soon as I turned it on my horse who had been standing near the fence, jumped away from the fence and snorted at the hot wire. She knew it was on without even touching it!
The on/off button is fool proof (that's what was broken on my last fence charger).
