This mask fits both a large thoroughbred and a large-jawed QH. It is well-designed/easy to put on, with tough textilene-type fabric that stays away from their eyes and a nose extension that works! Great product.

We have several Icelandic horses and because of their head shapes I am constantly searching for the "perfect" fly mask. The Defender Extended Nose Fly Mask size S was a perfect fit and does not come off during their rough and tumble play. Because of a terrible fly season I wanted to find a mask with a nose extension to help keep the flies off their noses.
However I am quite disappointed with the Defender extended nose piece. After less than 1 week, snaps always come open and even broke on one mask.
The velcro like material holds nicely and might be extended to replace the snaps.

I ordered 5 of these masks and after only 20 minutes on 1 of the yearlings, the snaps were broken. After 3 days now, all the snaps on all the masks are broken. The overall styling is very good with a good fit and they don't seem to be rubbing anywhere. Don't pay extra for the extender piece. I would gladly pay more money for a mask that is better quality but this one is at least keeping the flies off the eyes.
