I have 7 horses including Arabians, Saddlebreds, Walking Horses, and a Mule (her sire was a mammoth jack). I ordered medium and large, yet none of them fit ANY of my horses. The opening across the brow is too large such that flies can go inside the mask. Furthermore, the allowance over the eyes is not sufficient to prevent the mask from rubbing. One of my horses got an ulcer from rubbing his head with the mask on. So I'm treating that 3 times a day. These are cute masks, but they don't fit well at all.

I have three quarter horses (2 geldings and 1 mare) and these masks (large) fit all three of them very well. I like the quality and love the designs on the front. I get a chuckle every time I look at them...especially the eyes looking at the fly. I like the way the elastic stretches. It makes for a very nice fit. Other masks I've used do not have this feature & do not fit as well. Thx

These are cute masks, but I would NEVER EVER buy another Defender brand fly mask. I'm sending these back because on both of my horses (a Quarter Horse and a Thoroughbred), the masks sat right on their brow ridge! The horses couldn't even open their eyes. The masks aren't darted for the eyes and it was like they didn't take into consideration that horses' eyes stick out a bit. And my horses don't have weird shapes to their heads, most other fly masks I've used have fit them well.
