As a veterinarian I have found this product to be the most effective of its kind on the market today. I first saw an Epps biting fly trap at a clients farm almost 8 years ago. She told me how effective it was at killing the biting flies such as those huge Horse flies, Deer flies and May flies which are quite troublesome in our area. She convinced me to try it and I was amazed at how it started to catch flies as we were setting it up. We had caught and killed hundreds of flies in the first 24 hours. Ever since I have recommended the Epps biting fly trap to all of my clients. The horses even know where the trap is and enjoy the 'Fly Free Zone'. We set up the fly trap according to the instructions and had very disappointing results. The flys circle around but do not get trapped. We tried to contact the manufacturer for suggestions but they will not return our messages. A very costly mistake.

This is our fifth season using this product. And we feel it was one of the best investment we have made against the fly battle. This product is designed for biting flies only. If you live in the dry west, you have no idea what biting flies are until you visit the wetlands of the south. We still use a fly predator product by Spalding Labs to help fight with the common domestic house, barn, and face flies. The Epps has been working great for all the biting flies, like the horse, deer, stable, bull, green head, and yellow head. We clean out pounds of flies every few days. If the fly doesn't bit this product isn't for you...

I was impressed with the veterinary recommendation of this unit and bought it. I have had this unit installed on my property for 2 weeks now and have seen no reduction in the flies at all and very few flies in the trap itself. We followed the directions to "T". This was a big dissapointment and a waste of almost $300.00 (including shipping).
