Used this product when I moved my horse from where I was boarding. She colic for her last time when I brought her to my new place. I "tested" her poops and (mixed with water in a baggie) and found almost 2 table spoons of sand in it. I put her on this stuff daily for 2.5 months. She has NO SAND in her gut and it has been well over a year and has not shown any signs of colic at all. She looks the best she has ever looked. I use this once every 4-6 weeks for both my horses as a preventative. It works for sure! Great product.

Have tried many psyllium products and this licorice flavored one is the only one my appy will eat every pellet of. Not sure if psyllium is necessary (studies are non-conclusive) but I feed it once a month for a week for insurance. Price wise I think this one is average to on the lower end. The main ingredient (psyllium) is the same in all of the brands.

Our horse will eat the psyllium before they'll eat anything else. We've tried powders and other pellets, but they would leave it in their feeders. When we started feeding Equus Inter. Psyllium Fiber Blend our horses loved it.

In the past I had tried powder forms but my horses would just sort thru it and not eat it. I bought a 7yo Appy that eats everything/anything even when the hay is gone. One day, he was showing signs of Colic and had tried to lay down with me on him several times on a short ride/he also had diarrhea. I rushed him to the vet who said he had mild sand colic and was treated with mineral oil and psyllium. It was then recommended I start him on this product for 14days then monthly. The sand in his feces is very evident which proves it is working and excavating the sand from his intestines...Plus my other 2 eat it because it is pelleted and they like it. It really works!

I run a 15 horse boarding stable and have tried Equi-Aid, SanBlast, Sand Clear and Metamucil. The horses were pickier about powders and crumbles but didn't mind pellets. I found Equus and gave it a try based on it being a pellet and cheaper than the competition. The horses eat it up & the price is so affordable that I no longer have to look to alternatives like Metamucil.
