This Iron Rich Vitamin and Mineral Supplement provides a nutritional powerhouse of easily assimilated, blood-building ingredients for performance horses. My vets have always said don't worry about your horse eating clay and dirt. Then she came back with a low blood count (sick with lyme) and they said don't worry, but of course I do. She is 26 years old and very fussy about eating any supplement, but I decided on my own to try a blood builder. To me it tastes like clay, but I guess it does to her too because she loves it! Licks her lips just like when she licks clay off the ground. She has stopped eating dirt, has a shine to her coat and is bright eyed and with improved appetite. I will have them check the blood cell level after a few months and expect it will be better. The horse is certainly better in appearance and attitude after only 1 month and it is the only supplement she has ever been enthusiastic about eating.
