These traps work great- they fill up with flies in a couple of weeks. You just have to find the right spot, you may have to relocate it a few times before you succeed. mine are in a sunny/part shade spot and the horses are fairly comfortable now even when they have no fly spray on them!

I have been using these fly traps every year for probably 4 or 5 years wouldn't go through a fly season without them just keep them full of water until they are full of flies and then toss them out.

This fly trap does the job. I keep them up for about 2 weeks, adding water when needed until they are full, then place in a bag and toss. I'm out right now and you can really tell the difference on the horses. Yes, they stink, but this is expected. My only warning is to use gloves when filling, because the smell of the attractant is hard to remove from hands. Completely satisfied.
