Product Summary:

This Generic Ivermectin Paste 1.87% removes worms and bots with a single dose. FOR ORAL USE IN HORSES ONLY

Indications:
Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and the control of parasitism. Provides effective treatment and control of the following parasites in horses: small strongyles, large strongyles, pinworms, ascarids, hairworms, large-mouth stomach worms, bots, lungworms, summer sores, and intestinal threadworms.

Dosage:
This syringe contains sufficient paste to treat one 1,250 lb. horse at the recommended dose rate of 91 mcg ivermectin per lb. (200 mcg/kg) body weight.

Administration:
(1) While holding plunger, turn the knurled ring on the plunger ¼ turn to the left and slide it so the side nearest the barrel is at the prescribed weight marking. (2) Lock the ring in place by making a ¼ turn to the right. (3) Make sure the horse's mouth contains no feed. (4) Remove the cover from the top of the syringe. (5) Insert the syringe tip into the horse's mouth at the space between the teeth. (6) Depress the plunger as far as it will go, depositing paste on the back of the tongue. (7) Immediately raise the horse's head for a few seconds after dosing.

Parasite Control Program:
All horses should be included in a regular parasite control program with particular attention being paid to mares, foals, and yearlings. Foals should be treated initially at 6 to 8 weeks of age, and routine treatment repeated as appropriate. Consult your veterinarian for a control program to meet your specific needs. Paste effectively controls gastrointestinal nematodes and bots of horses. Regular treatment will reduce the changes of verminous arteritis caused by Strongylus vulgaris.

Product Advantages:
Broad spectrum Control
-Kills important internal parasites, including bots and the arterial stages of S. vulgaris, with a single dose. Is a potent antiparasitic agent that is neither a benzimidazole nor an organophosphate.

Animal Safety: May be used in horses of all ages, including mares at any stage of pregnancy. Stallions may be treated without adversely affecting their fertility.

Warnings:
Do not use in horses intended for human consumption. Not for use in humans. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. Refrain from smoking and eating when handling. Wash hands after use. Environmental Safety:
Ivermectin and excreted ivermectin residues affect aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate ground or surface water. Dispose of the syringe in an approved landfill or by incineration.

Information for Horse Owners:
Swelling and itching reactions after treatment have occurred in horses carrying heavy infections of neck threadworm microfilariae (Onchocerca sp.). These reactions were most likely the result of microfilariae dying in large numbers. Symptomatic treatment may be advisable. Consult your veterinarian should any such reactions occur. Healing of summer sores involving extensive tissue changes may require other appropriate therapy in conjunction with treatment with ivermectin wormer. Reinfection and measures of its prevention should also be considered. Consult your veterinarian if the condition does not improve.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product for the price! Very happy with this product! It's a little difficult to adjust the dosage, but other than that, great! Also, appeared to be apple flavored? A lot of our horses we are normally hard to deworm loved it! July 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product I tried this product for the first time and was extremely satisfied. I had never used a gel before but found it much easier to administer and less messy than the paste. Also, I had been fore warned in one of the reviews about the stopper failing and administering the entire tube. I did not find this to be an issue whatsoever. The plunger is a little flimsy but the stopper worked fine in all 16 of my applications. Great value for the price. April 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great wormer for the price! Couldn't be happier with this low cost wormer. Wish it treated tape worm, but for the price I give it five stars. March 1, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ivermectin for horses only - not all dog breeds Love the product and price. Ivermectin is toxic to collies and some other herding breeds and mix breeds. When in doubt ask your vet. May 2, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by good price genermectin ivermectin dewormer February 7, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Wormer at a Great Price! I use this wormer in my horses' rotation schedule and it gets the job done just as good as an ivermectin that would cost 8 or 9 dollars. Every little dollar saved helps and this is a great product for cheap! I highly recommend this product! February 1, 2011
