I have small dogs that love to chew. I bought the smallest size and they have held up extrememely well. They have chewed nubs off other toys, but these are lasting. They are especially handy as an acceptable article to chew or bite while training puppies. I ordered more because the dogs take them out in the snow to play with and I won't find those until after the Spring thaw!

My pittbull and my Husky both love this toy! It is heavy but the rubber is thick so as of today they have not been able to chew it in half. ( A major problem we have a lot.)

I got this toy free with a promotion several months ago and I was hesitant at first because my doberman/pit bull puppy loves to chew and quickly destroy everything. He loves to play fetch with and chew on this toy and it proved to be just as durable as his extreme kong.

Choking Hazard, 9/29/2009

I bought this toy from a different location. I highly recommend NOT purchasing it if you have a small dog or small children. (my dogs are Pugs) The nubs DO come off and present a choking hazard. I had to take a knife and cut off every nub there was, and to top it off, my dogs did not like it. They prefer the softer plush toys or a ball.

My dog loved this toy but....there are little nubby things on it and she has started to chew these off. She loves to chew and has knawed off the nubbies on it. I would not buy this toy if your dog loves to chew like mine does.

Dog chewed the nubby's off!!, 3/21/2008

Chose this for my Golden Retriever who loves to chew, I mean LOVES to chew. She chewed some of the nubby spikes right off and they showed up the next day....This probably would have been alright if it didn't have the nubby spikes. I wish I would have read the description of the product and maybe would not have ordered this. So if your dog loves to chew like mine this is probably not the toy for you. Make sure there is nothing that they can chew off of it.
