Why did you choose this?
Is there a product available to grow hair on spots of skin?
Best Answer: Showsheen is great for putting a shine on a coat and repelling dirt, or at least making dirt come off easily. (Be careful not to put it on the saddle area, as a low withered horse covered with Show Sheen can easily have a saddle slipping.) But for bald spots on skin, any product like Vasoline that keeps the area soft is helpful. If the horse has a dark coat, I like to use a Vitamin E cream as it helps stave off white hairs regrowing. But if you have recurring bald spots, you need to figure out what is rubbing to take the hair off. it may be your tack or a habit that the horse has on a particular post, etc. If the bald spot is of long standing, it may be impossible to return hair to the area if the roots have been killed. ShowSheen will not hurt a bald area, but it may not help it either.
can i buy by the case?
Best Answer: I don't know. I've only bought bottle by bottle. I have only 1 horse, so by the case would take me forever to use. A little will go a long way. My bottle lasts me for months. I use it primarily on his mane and tail and squirt it on my grooming brush to do his body when necessary. He's not a "show" horse, so just ordinary brushing w/out any Sho-Sheen works for him.
