What is the best number blade for general horse trimming. All the blades have different numbers what do they indicate ? I have a bunch of mini horses, I want to clean up for spring to keep them from rubbing on my fence. I have a Andis and Oester trimmer . I need all the help with blade selection I can get. Thanks

Best Answer: A "T" blade is a wider one usually used for body clipping. For general horse trimming most people use a "regular" #10 blade, which leaves the hair 1/16" long. The higher the blade number, the shorter it will leave the hair.
Please take a look at the Andis UltraEdge Clipper Blade (item 191422). Scroll down the product description to the chart that lists the cut length for each blade number. Hopefully that will be helpful as well.
