Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME! I love this. I have used this product for 3 years and it works on all my horses even my donkey. My horses dont have a problem with eating it either. May 14, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ani-Med 3 in 1 BugLyte I've tried several supplements and fly sprays in combination to keep the biting flies from irritating my horses - THIS IS THE BEST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET!!! ...and it doesn't hurt my feelings at all that it's very inexpensive to use either! Thanks Ani-Med for developing such a GREAT fly control product for horses!!! May 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by worked for me I Have been using this product (full dose) for 6 months without fly spray. Product really works. Prior to use my horse had large welts from bites. It took approx. 4-6 weeks to see results. We also use fly predators and fly bags. August 5, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by hang in there I started this on my horse in Feb. since we have flys early here in the desert,at first I didn't see any change until recently, after 3mos. I finally see absolutey no flies in her poop, this product takes quite awhile so start very early. July 15, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Depends on the horse My greedy pasture pal LOVES this stuff. He eats it straight from my hand! However, the smell is pungent and it is awful if you spill some on yourself. The tub has a screw top and very open mouth, making it easy to spill. I would have recommended a flip top that is just big enough for a scoop (not included). They recommend one ounce per 1000 lb of horse, so it last quite a while. August 7, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product for the price As with the other review, my horses hated the taste at first, but they did get used to it and now eat their food with it. It also did appear to take longer than the 2 weeks to take effect. I tested it on 2 horses and left the 3 without to see if it worked. After about 3 possible 4 weeks I believe it is working. There are less flies in the stalls and less on the horses. I do use fly predators and a fly spray on them, but there does seem to be less flies than last year and we have had a very wet summer. Rated 4 out of 5 by My Horses Love It I have just started using it so I am not sure how good it is going to work. I am hoping to break the fly cycle through their manure. What surprised me was how much my two horses love it. When I smelled it I thought no way will they eat it and the thought of eating sweet grain with the garlic made me what to gag but my horses lick their pans and run to the gate to get it. This is the best price I have seen yet on the net. June 30, 2009
Rated 1 out of 5 by BugLyte I was so excited to receive and try this. My horses HATED it, I'm not sure if it was the smell of the garlic or the taste. :( May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wont be without it! Have an icelandic with sweet itch and a sensitive lusitano that broke out in huge hives every summer. This product along with good fly spray, cleared up all problems. I will stock up every spring. March 5, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bug Be Gone Use to use bug check found that bug lyte worked better & really keeps the bugs away. I do a lot of camping & riding in fl. with bugs year round. I found bug lyte to be my horses best defense against biting bugs! January 2, 2009

This product actually helps. It does not COMPLETELY keep flies off but it reduces them greatly.

does buglyte keep flies from biting the horse that has been treated with it?
A shopper on May 2, 2014
Best Answer: I think it does help but over a period of time. We keep our horses on it year round because we live in buggy Alabama. Started using it because of a mare with queensland itch. It was horrible the gnats tore her legs up and she was miserable. That was two summers ago and haven't had any more problems. Plus, only reason I use fly spray on trail rides is for wasps and deer flies. It is excellent and there coats are very shiny too. I am very pleased with this product.
