Rated 4 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I'm so happy with this product! My mare's coat and hair are so soft. I've noticed a big change in her tail especially - the skin on her tail is getting less and less dry and flaky the longer I have her on the flaxseed oil. I'm really excited to see her summer coat once all her winter hair drops. April 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by % of Flax Seed oil To the individual who negatively responded to the list of ingredients in the Flax Seed oil. I too was curious as to the % of soy and flax seed oil, so I e-mailed AniMed and asked. Their response was 50% of Soy oil and 50% of Flax Seed oil. Now that is pretty darn awsome as is the price of this product. I have been feeding it to my 28 year old Quarter mare, who I could not get to gain weight. (She also has Cushing's)after using up 1 gal. she has gained 20 lbs and that is huge for her. I give the product a 5 star rating. January 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by good mood and shiny coat Love this product. I can see a shine on my mare and her mood has improved. No more dry skin and itching. Love it. January 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Animed Flax Seed Oil I have my Fox Trotter Gelding on this oil and he has done super. His hair coat has made a significant change. I know that the main ingredient is soy been oil. In fact, I have three other horses on straight soy bean oil (got a big jug from Costco) and they are not quite as shiny. Also, this is half price of the same product at our local ranch supply store. Rated 4 out of 5 by Does the Job I purchased this product because my pony had itchy/dry skin even with a higher fat feed. I've been using it for a year and he has stopped rubbing himself against trees, is shiny and no longer has healing scratch marks everywhere. November 26, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Soy or Flax? Whatever the percentage mixture might be, I have seen a vast improvement in my Senior horse's coat and body condition since using this as a supplement. I'm sold! June 8, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 False advertising What is NOT described in the catalogue is that this is flax seed oil IN soy oil. (says on bottle) It, however, does NOT give the ratio of flax to soy; so in reality, it could be a tablespoon of flax and the rest soy. Country Supply won't refund for food supplements. Don't waste your $$. May 27, 2009

Why did you choose this? Store
I use the Flax Seed Oil for MANY different things. The best fix for rain rot! It strengthens feet, and mane. The coat will have never looked better.

I have used this oil for three years and it is great for coat

Can it be stored in the heat or does it need to be refrigerated?
christine m on Jun 12, 2015
Best Answer: It does not need refrigeration. I kept mine in my feed shed in temps in the 80's and 90's without any problem. However, I used it up in about 6 weeks. I'm sure if left in high heat for months, it would go rancid.

Hello, what is the daily required feed rate for this? Thank you
B M on Mar 2, 2014
Best Answer: 1 to 2 oz. is normal. I have even given up to 4 oz. prior to showing to shine up their coat even more. Works great!

About how many servings could you get out of this for one horse?
A shopper on Sep 10, 2014
Best Answer: A full size horse needs 2 ounces per day.
With a gallon having 128 ounces that gives you 64 days supply. If you'll go to Amazon and buy a 1 ounce pump it is very easy to administer. Product works great. We put over 200 lbs on our Thoroughbred this summer.

can i give flax seed oil to 3 month foal?
A shopper on Aug 18, 2014
Best Answer: I have been feeding an ounce/day to my three horses for several years. They are 15,18 and 22 years old. I would consult your vet or even the company to determine if it would be safe and the amount. The omega 3 is a good anti inflammatory as well as great for the coat.

What are the other ingredients in this product?
Betty C on Feb 19, 2014
Best Answer: This was the best product and most pure. Used it to help feed another supplement that was powder and hard to get them to eat. The horses never looked so good.
