Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stuff Years ago I bought a retired Thouroghbred with some joint and hock issues. In fact one vet advised my TB shouldnt even be ridden after exraying one of his hocks. (Yes, vets can be wierd)... I had him on MSM on and off for some years. And just recently had his joints re ex-rayed, the vet was pleasantly surprised seeing that my 20 year old has better joints that his MUCH much younger conterparts (other 5 and 7 year olds he was ex-raying the same day). My TB is going strong, absolutely no joint issues, in fact he moves like a sound and happy 2 year old! Now I'm adding it to my two Warmbloods meals as a precaution... Yay for MSM. February 1, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Results exceeded my expectations I have a 27 year old Peruvian mare. She started to stumble a bit when I rode her and also seemed a bit stiff on the beginning of our rides. I started to feed her your MSM product every day.Her stumbling has almost completely stopped and she no longer seems stiff. We started feeding it to a couple of our other horses after we noticed that my mares mane is almost twice as long as it used to be. I owned her for 17 years and the only difference in her diet is the MSM supplement. The two other horses that are now getting the supplement are also showing lots of new growth in their manes. Has anyone else ever noticed this? What a bonus! January 29, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by The ONLY MSM for my horse! I always thought that all pure MSM's were created equal, but I was sure wrong! My horse has heaves and some brands of "pure" MSM will cause him to become very heavey (with NO other changes to diet or environment). I tried 4 different brands of MSM before I tried AniMed MSM... needless to say this is the only MSM that did not make him heavey! August 1, 2010

Have tried several different brands over the years. This is pure, and doesn't cake, plus it's inexpensive if you buy it on sale in the bigger pails.
Jaye L on Jul 31, 2015
This is the cheapest, purest MSM ever. It takes them a while to get used to the taste if they are not eating a lot of grain with it, but eventually everyone I've given it to has ended up not sifting it out too bad. I even take it myself when I'm feeling sore.

is your msm made by distillation?
A shopper on Feb 26, 2014
Best Answer: Hi shopper, I started MSM last week, so I don't really have a result yet, But thrilled all 7 of the boys ate it with their grain. It is outside so I am not sure if it is made by distillation, but I can check

I am going to use the pure msm for my dog and want to know how to administer it. Can I mix it in water? Or do I put it in their food or just give them an 1/8 tsp of powder directly into their mouth?
A shopper on Oct 7, 2015
Best Answer: When I feed the msm to my dog I typically mix it in just enough of something she likes (yogurt, peanut butter, etc.) to incorporate the msm, and give it to her in a small bowl. I've found that she eats it the best this way. Hope that helps!

Is this MSM 99% pure?
Linda N on Aug 7, 2014
Best Answer: Container says 100% pure. I have been using for my horse for a while now, and noticed a difference. When I didn't give it for a couple feedings, I really noticed he needed it. Each horse is different, obviously.

can I take this animed msm for myself ?
Jim P on Apr 14, 2015
Best Answer: I wouldn't. Animal supplements may not be manufactured to as high a standard as is required for human supplements. And how would you calculate the dosage?

what is the source of your msm?
maria a on Aug 14, 2015
Best Answer: It doesn't give a source on the label, just says "Contains 100% Methylsufonylmethane (MSM) and no fillers"
