I love the colors that are available. I got the tan lead rope and I love it. It isn't too thick and it's the perfect length. Definitely great for every day barn use!

Was shocked how small the lead was when i received it. Not like the last one i ordered, that one was very nice size. This one is more like dog leash size.

I ordered this lead rope over the summer, with another more expensive lead rope, as a backup. Its quality surprised me. I was expecting a just "okay" lead rope, but it was actually well made. I am not really a fan of twisted cotton lead ropes because after a year or two they fray and come undone, but this one has held up so far. I am not sure how strong the the snap and the rope actually are because my horses don't pull at all when I lead them. The only other thing about this lead is it is fairly short and thin compared to other leads. Overall, this is a good lead for light use or smaller horses/ponies/minis that don't pull at all. It is a good lead for the price, but I would spend a few more dollars and get a nicer lead. I bought the "Weaver Multi-Color Poly Lead Rope w/Bolt Snap" and I love it. I would recommend that lead for any horse owner, but I do not recommend this lead except for light use or smaller horses/ponies/minis that don't pull at all.

The therapeutic riding center I volunteer and have worked at use these as their bridle lead ropes (great for volunteers learning to lead, not alot of extra rope to trip over and great for the more advanced kids who lead their horses back to the barn). Yes, they can snap when set back on and there are some that aren't as well finished. But before using them on each of the bridles we tighten the knots at the end of the lead rope so it's nice a super tight and check the clamps and make sure they're nice and tight. there are leadropes that has been used for over 4 years without any problems and others that have lasted even longer. great for horses that tie well and it's held together on the occasion that one of the horses spooked. no problems whatsoever with these lead ropes aside from breaking from the occasional setback.

When I ordered this I was expecting something slightly better... it's thin, super light and can break easily. If you have your horse tied and they spook, or if your horse backs up too quickly, you'll be kissing this lead rope good-bye! Personally I use mine as a set of reins for my mare (ordered 2 black and grey). They work excellent for someone who has a well trained horse! Haha... Overall, I wouldn't recommend the product as horses are very unpredictable animals and you need something you can rely on. This, you can't! Plain and simple. But then again I'm not the safest person in the world either, so these are a nice fit for me.

I had just gotten this today. And it wasn't what I expected. I had ordered the bull-snap lead rope for $5.99 and I loved it! But I liked this snap better so I ordered it and it's not a good quality it's short and flimsy and it's started to fall aprat like they were curling and it's taped at the end. Wouldn't recommend it. I recommend the bull-snap for $5.99 spend the extra dollar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Linda Love this little lead roap
This little lead rope is great for quick use. Great for kids handling horses because it's small in diameter and can fit in their hands easily. Unlike many of the larger, bulkier ones. It's also light weight for me. I don't like leading horses out to a pasture with a bid bulky lead, coiled up in my hands that falls all over the place. Almost tripping me. I want to focus on getting my horses in and out of their pastures. Not trying to prevent myself from tripping over a bulky lead. It's great for everyday farm use.
