Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for Trails I bought this to use trail riding and it works really well. I did have to rip the ears off because they are not big enough to fit the average horse, but they tore off easily and didn't rip the rest of the veil. I really like this and it works very good. Rated 5 out of 5 by Sierra Loves It! My Mare, Sierra, loves her ear net! Whenever we ride she always got attacked on her poll and around her eyes from the flies. It was very hard on her and was distracting to me to have to keep shoo-ing away flies. Now that I bought this, the fringe shoos away flies with out bothering the horse and it looks very pro! Love these! June 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by love it what an eye catcher. i have a black on and my horse wears it with pride. she hates flys in her ears and this keeps her happy on the trails. my only complaint is that it does not protect the eyes. May 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Crochet Ear Net with Fringe Very pleased. Ears run small, if you have a horse 15.2 or bigger or one with ears on the long side, the ears may not fit. September 10, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by A little disappointed After reading other reviews, I thought this was just what we needed for a great price. Shipping or handling is kind of expensive. The horses tolerate the bonnet ok and it does keep the pests off of their ears (although the bonnet ears are too big), but it doesn't really scare the bugs away as well as I hoped. Coco still tossed his head a lot to keep deer flies from landing on his neck. August 11, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Way to go Had mine for years. Decided to buy another. Wish you didn't have to thread the end of the string through a small hole, but it's still O.K. My horse doesn't like anything on her face but accepts this very well. I wish they made a larger size for my warmblood and draft. August 2, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Iffy When i got this i was so excited to finally have on of these but i took it out of the bag and it had a rip down the entire side of one ear. i sewed it up fairly easily and it works great! My horse (though she is usually very finicky about everything) loves it especially during the cicada season we had here. July 13, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great! I bought mine last year and I still have. Although, if your horse loves to roll(like mine did) it might come off---so I wouldn't leave it on all night, I think this product is a great, great buy! So far it's held up to my mare's abuse wonderfully and is good for riding, as I prefer her without a big huge mask on. This net sprayed w/your fave flyspray keeps the flies away for the ride. I hope mine lasts for years to come! May 28, 2011

Is it safe to keep it on all day?
A shopper on Mar 8, 2015
Best Answer: Hi, I bought two only for when I go riding because even with fly and bug spray the flies and gnats run the horses crazy once they start sweating. They are great for keeping the aggravating bugs out of their ears. Not sure about leaving them on all day as they tie from ear to ear under their throat. Use your own judgment.

What kind of blue is the blue? Navy, royal, or light blue?
Amanda on Jan 15, 2015
Best Answer: Royal. It's like a medium royal blue...Very bright and saturated in color.
