Product Summary:

Ships to Canada
The Best Friend Cribbing Muzzle allows horses to eat and drink freely while gently and humanely limiting the damage from a number of undesirable equine behaviors, including:

- Cribbing and/or wood-chewing
- Chewing blankets, bandages or wounds
- Chewing other objects
- Biting other ponies
- Biting themselves
- Biting people

The nylon and aluminum construction is lightweight, rustproof, rot-proof and easy-to-clean. The Best Friend Cribbing Muzzle is padded for comfort and attaches to your breakaway halter with a four-point breakaway system that enhances safety.

The muzzle should be positioned so that the bars run vertically (north and south). To attach the muzzle, loop the four straps over the noseband and chinstrap. (The two side straps may be looped through the halter rings for added stability.) Leave the metal rings in the down position to allow the muzzle to breakaway. The breakaway system will hold in place under normal circumstances, yet will pull apart if a pony panics and struggles to free itself. This feature greatly reduces the risk of injury to the pony. To disable the breakaway feature, slide the metal rings up over the hook-and-loop straps.

Fitting Instructions:

Measure up the muzzle depth on your horse and check the circumference at that point. The muzzle should not fit tight but should have a few fingers space between the muzzle and horse

excellent a+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++, 7/15/2012

DP from PEWAUKEE, WISCONSIN

this was the only grazing muzzle that my miniture horse could not break apart. all the other grazing muzzles he ripped apart, and the rubber grazing muzzles he ripped them apart and has gone through over 7 rubber muzzles totally destroyed them in only a few hours. this one is truly a blessing . this is the only one he had that really works . i did have to had some ties to the side once i press the velco down to help reinforce it which worked great. this muzzle he cannot rip off or break apart. it is worth the extra money and made much better then all the other grazing muzzles he destroyed. the one is EXCELLENT A+++++++++.

not worth it, 9/17/2011

Lily from CT

My horse figured out how to crib through this. And then she managed to completely rip it apart. Keep in mind that this is my delicate little mare who is usually pretty easy on her things - she isn't a tough and destructive horse. This was heavy but weak and isn't worth it.

heather hunter from unionville pa

i have had 2 of these and both times the horses were able to figure out how to grib w/them and proceded to crib thru the bars - broke them in half - the muzzle lasted both times around 6 weeks to 2 months - did not buy from this store - looking here for the cage muzzle - it has been highly recommended by friends
