This fly mask is very durable and fits my horse well. The arabian size was perfect for my small 14.0 hand quarter horse.

I have 3 colts pastured together who are always playing ruff. I new the next morning the masks would be in the dirt. Much to my surprise, I was wrong! I am so happy with these masks. I will never buy any other brand.

My vet recommended this fly mask for my draft who has an eye abrasion. Once I started using it I could see why he recommended this particular brand. This mask stays on much better than any other fly mask that I've purchased for her. It's easy to clean, I clean it daily, and it's durable. The mesh is quality and it has soft plush felt to keep her face from being rubbed raw. She rolls in it every day and it has yet to fall off in her favorite spot to roll. Plus, I love that she can be more comfortable with her forelock peeking through the opening instead of having it shoved inside the mask braided in a ball. Fabulous mask!

My QH mare has been wearing hers for about a month now, and I have no complaints. I like the soft feel of the fabric; it breathes, it's see-through, yet very flexible.
As for the size, my mare has very large jowls. She has a "horse" size and only about a 1/2 inch of the velcro fastens. However, most other "horse" size fly masks won't fasten around her jaw at all. So they do run a bit big, but it works for her.

My horse and his pasture buddies are really rough on fly masks, and so far this is only one I have tried in the mid price range that stays put pretty well. Though I have tried the version with ears, the material used on the ears seems to be easily torn by horses who like to chew on other's masks. Also, the sizes seem to run on the larger size, my horse usually wears an extra large or warmblood size, but he wears a regular horse size in this mask. I'm buying another one this season, definitely recommend this mask.

Having eye problems I wear a fly mask 24/7 all year. I have gone thru many brands and types, but this one, this one I simply cannot destroy in less than six months of constant use! And believe me I try! It shades my eyes from the sun, my mother put it on her face to test that out and was so surprised how nicely it shaded yet didn't really obstruct vision. It also peaks up so it doesn't rub diretly on my eyes and has never caused a rub mark. My mother wouldn't buy anything else.

Great design, best fit, true to size and reasonably durable. Flies are an almost constant problem here in California (even with daily fly spray applications and keeping the area cleaned of all droppings) which means that my horses wear the masks for about 9 months out of 12. I have tried other brands and/or less expensive masks, but keep coming back to Crusader. My horses prefer the regular mask without ears. FYI: The mask with ears is a good concept in theory and may be fine for horses confined to a stall, but for pasture horses who can rub their ears on a fence tend to snag the ear material and rip it or pull the mask of all together. My pasture horses NEVER take the masks off without the ears.

Cashel fly masks are awesome! They fit securely and don't rub the hair off which was a problem I was having with my mare. They are durable enough so that they don't tear during play and they are easy to keep clean. The sizes do run big though. If your a first time buyer and your shopping for a horse that currently has a horse-size Farnam fly mask I would recommend purchasing an arab/cob size or the next size down.

i have a 5 year old mustang who killed his last mask...and enlisted the help of fellow pasture mates to chew on it but after the owner at our local tack store promised to take it back if it didnt work I tried this one and I LOVE it!!! If i put it on it stays on till i take it off and my boy seems to like it because he wears it without constant rubbing and will even lower his head to have it put on its soft doesnt rub holds up to being rinsed in the sink and has saved my boys ears from mutilation i highly recommend this mask...and i never thought id say that!

I loved this fly mask. I had a horse that we couldnt find a mask that would fit her well and then we would end up with a vet bill because she would end up with an eye infection from the flies. But once we purchase this fly mask to fit wonderfully and she didnt have another eye infection.
