Offer your horse the ultimate in fly protection and a safe alternative to toxic and ineffective fly sprays. Rated #1 for comfort, design and fit by equine clinicians and publications, the Cashel® Crusader™ Fly Mask employs a patented three-hole cap design that ensures comfort, eliminates forelock damage and remains stationary whether your horse is in the stall or the pasture. The panels are constructed of soft-coated nylon micromesh that hovers above the skin’s surface, protecting the soft tissues of the eyes and forehead from flying insects and blocking 70% of the sun’s damaging UV rays. Edges and seams are bound with low-nap plush fabric that won’t attach to irritating burrs or bristles.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't stay on I bought this mask for my 15.2 hh Tennessee Walker gelding. I bought the 'horse' size, as he is usually the average size for anything I buy. It does not stay on him - it actually comes off with the velcro still attached. Also, he is very allergic to fly bites and the part that goes under his jaw is not wide enough to fully protect him. It seems to be made very well, but I have to buy a different one like the one I had previously that stayed on him. August 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by love it I love this fly mask. I have a blind horse who wears it pretty regularly. The only thing I do not love about it is that my horse loves to rub his face in the dirt/mud and packs the mask with it. This is not a problem as it washes easily BUT the parts that are not mesh stay wet for a long time. I find that I have to wash it and then squeeze out the excess water with a towel before letting it dry over night. Still the best mask I have found though! June 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value! This fly mask is very durable and fits my horse well. The arabian size was perfect for my small 14.0 hand quarter horse. October 9, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cashel fly mask w/o ears I have 3 colts pastured together who are always playing ruff. I new the next morning the masks would be in the dirt. Much to my surprise, I was wrong! I am so happy with these masks. I will never buy any other brand. September 12, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Mask! My vet recommended this fly mask for my draft who has an eye abrasion. Once I started using it I could see why he recommended this particular brand. This mask stays on much better than any other fly mask that I've purchased for her. It's easy to clean, I clean it daily, and it's durable. The mesh is quality and it has soft plush felt to keep her face from being rubbed raw. She rolls in it every day and it has yet to fall off in her favorite spot to roll. Plus, I love that she can be more comfortable with her forelock peeking through the opening instead of having it shoved inside the mask braided in a ball. Fabulous mask! August 9, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, so good... My QH mare has been wearing hers for about a month now, and I have no complaints. I like the soft feel of the fabric; it breathes, it's see-through, yet very flexible. As for the size, my mare has very large jowls. She has a "horse" size and only about a 1/2 inch of the velcro fastens. However, most other "horse" size fly masks won't fasten around her jaw at all. So they do run a bit big, but it works for her. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good mask My horse and his pasture buddies are really rough on fly masks, and so far this is only one I have tried in the mid price range that stays put pretty well. Though I have tried the version with ears, the material used on the ears seems to be easily torn by horses who like to chew on other's masks. Also, the sizes seem to run on the larger size, my horse usually wears an extra large or warmblood size, but he wears a regular horse size in this mask. I'm buying another one this season, definitely recommend this mask. March 17, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply the best Having eye problems I wear a fly mask 24/7 all year. I have gone thru many brands and types, but this one, this one I simply cannot destroy in less than six months of constant use! And believe me I try! It shades my eyes from the sun, my mother put it on her face to test that out and was so surprised how nicely it shaded yet didn't really obstruct vision. It also peaks up so it doesn't rub diretly on my eyes and has never caused a rub mark. My mother wouldn't buy anything else. January 13, 2011
