Made with 1/2" thick closed-cell foam, the Cashel® Tush Cushion® will not collapse or give the way open-cell foam can.  It will not absorb or hold heat.  Adjustable nylon straps hold your Cashel Tush Cushion® firmly in place, preventing sliding and shifting. The Tush Cushion® does not interfere with your balance and seat in the saddle; it just makes it much more comfortable.

I bought one of these to "fix" a summer camp program saddle that a horse decided to take a bite out of. He ripped the leather on the seat and I didn't want to spend the money to replace it on an older saddle. This is a great product, and stays put very well, even with multiple riders getting on and off throughout the day. It also gave me the added bonus (which I was hoping for)of padding up the seat that had become rather board-like through several years of use. My summer staffers actually pick this saddle to ride in on purpose now.

Very comfortable but short, 6/18/2010

I bought my cushion about 3 months ago to use for trail riding as my older Stubben is a little hard. For the first time since I got the cushion my rear didn't go numb during the first half hour. This is really an awesome product for the price. My only issue with it is that it is a bit small for saddles with a seat bigger than 17.5 inches (I ride in a 19 inch and the cushion ended up being about 1.5-2 inches short). Overall, though, this product is definitely worth buying.

I trail ride a lot and this cushion makes my saddle sooooo comfortable! It also keeps the majority of my saddle from getting dirty and dusty, plus you can't beat the price! I was going to buy a sheepskin or fleece seat cover, but decided to get this one, and I'm glad I did! It's been on my saddle for at least 2 years and it is in perfect condition!
