Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by DELIVERS This boot is very easy to put on. Fits very well. Best I have tried. Never slips and grips for the long tough mountain trails. Used with the pastern wraps no rubs. Boots allows water to escape, ample support for the sole/frog. Highly recommend- actually getting 2nd pair for other horse! August 27, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by would not recommend I would not recommend this product. We put a set on our best horse she wasn't able to get a good grip going up a hill. she and the rider fell. August 18, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great boots! my shoer-spouse doesnt like my horse (its mutual) so these boots are a lifesaver!! I ride tough rocky terrian and get at least five or six five-hour rides out of a pair of these boots!! i think they are preventative for my pre-navicular horse, as well. July 25, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Excellent & Simple My Standardbred does wonderful in these Simple Boots. He goes through water & mud, over rocks, uphills, downhills, NO problem. They are simple to put on and take off. I put his on before I trailer him for our 2-3 hr trail rides. Great investment as it saved money for what regular shoes would cost. Try them on your horse, and you'll see. Just be sure you measure correctly after a trim. PJ April 4, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I like these boots I like the sport version better then the regular ones as they fit the shape of my horses hoof better so they don't "clunk" like the regular boots do when they move.Excellent fit and heavy duty. Will buy another set when I save up enough! They are expensive, but in the long run, they are cheaper then keeping my horses shod and they last for a long time! March 9, 2011

I have been using these boots for several years now on all of my horses. They work great, stay in place and truly do protect the hoof better than any boot I've ever had. They wear well and I have had no problems at all with them. They stay on my girls in all sorts of situations ~ galloping, in mud, in the creek, in snow ~ and support tender-footed horses on every terrain. Highly recommended!

My horse is right on the line between a 4 and a 5---exactly in the middle. Should I go with a 4 or 5?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2014
Best Answer: It completely depends on how fresh the trim is on your horse. You may wish to go up to a 5 just in case there is growth.

How do I measure for size on the hoof boots?
A shopper on Mar 31, 2015
Best Answer: Use the tool that Cavallo furnishes, you can print it and measure your horse as per the instructions, within a week after trim.. Purchase two pair. One pair that seem too small and the second one size up. The too small pair will fit after trims, the second will continue to fit with less filing until the next trim (approx 8 wks). I purchased a pair 'sized' right (according to the sizing tool) for a mare, but they were too large, so I bought a smaller pair for her. fortunately the larger pair that were supposed to fit her, fit another horse. I get frustrated trying to size them and would love to have all the sizes on the shelf. Even another (mature) horse who's boots fit a year ago doesn't fit in hers now right after a trim. They change just like we do. My only complaint is the snap comes un-done, or is loose when the velcro is set right.
