This pad combines the benefits of our breathable and shock-absorbent SMx Air Ride™ material with OrthoSport™ features to create an unrivaled barrel pad. Additional layers of SMx Air Ride™ material are strategically placed in the dished out areas behind the shoulders of horses with high withers and strong shoulders to create a greatly improved saddle fit from front to back. Additional 1/4 inch layers of SMx Air Ride™ material -are also added down each side of the spine to relieve pressure from the spine and kidney areas while allowing additional airflow along the horse’s back.

VERY SMALL PAD!, 8/23/2012

Buyer beware, this pad is 29x31 and will NOT fit any normal size western saddle with a skirt. It did not even fit with a barrel saddle. The pad would work well with a youth or child saddle on either a horse or pony. When I contacted StateLine Tack after receiving my pad, they said it was available is a 32x32 and a 34x36, after several exchanges I was stuck with a 29x31 (ever time they exchanged I got the same size pad) and they wouldn't exchange it any more becuase I had elapsed the return/exchange period based upon my original purchase date. Now I am stuck with a very expensive pad that I can't use. Will be selling it on consignment at a local store for much less than what I paid. I still have to purchase a pad that fits. If you are looking for an orthosport pad that will fit a pony or horse in a youth size or child size saddle this is a very nice pad.
