How does it connect to the saddle?
A shopper on Nov 6, 2015
Best Answer: Each side (billet) fastens to the rear cinch dee rings or slots found toward the back of the saddle skirt.
This rear cinch assembly should hang about a hand's-width below the horse's belly.
The little flank cinch connector strap in the middle clips onto the rear dee ring at the center of your front cinch. That keeps the loose cinch from swinging back and forth.
A rear or flank cinch only comes into play during hard stops or downhill travel, to prevent the back of the saddle from lifting up very much.
