Classic Equine ESP Felt Top Round Saddle Pad
3/8" wool blend top offers superior shock absorption and protection, and resists compression and matting for a longer life. 1/2" memory foam middle layer is extremely conforming and temperature sensitive. It continuously molds and conforms to the shape of the back then rebounds to its original shape when pressure is removed. This minimizes pressure points and relieves body stress. It is open cell, allowing airflow through the cells and pulling sweat away from the horse. 5/8" orthopedic grade felt bottom soaks up moisture, allowing heat to dissipate away from your horses back. It conforms to the horses back while maintaining density, and provides excellent shock absorption. This felt is washable so sweat and grime can be washed away as needed.. Cut out over withers and contoured to fit your horses back with a split design that allows the pad to move with the horse; butterfly cut for closer leg contact. Designed to be used alone or with a blanket.
Approx Size: 28" x 29"

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Pad! I bought this pad for my kinda small quarter horse mare. Other pads drowned her. Since she has a shorter back this pad fits nicely and goes well with my round skirted saddle. Can use alone but I put a blanket over the top for show. I like this pad a lot and it doesn't leave dry spots on her back. She seems to like it better also. July 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I like it This pad was as nice as I thought it would be, but turns out that 30x30 isn't the right size for my new saddle with dropped rigging. I needed to get one more like 30x34. If it had fit the new saddle I would have been set with a great pad. Bummed that it doesn't work for me, like it alot. Wish it was made in 30x34 size. August 5, 2011

Nice Pad for Colts because it is the right size for a small back or short back. Comfortable for the horse. Lasts for quite a while.

I have never purchased a (good-brand-expensive) pad. I have always had cheap....(being honest). I am lost on what to buy. I read WOOL-thinking itchy-hot for the horse. Then I honestly don,t care for a THICK PAD. I have a short-round horse (Icelandic breed). Purchasing a short-round skirt of a western saddle for him. I am looking at this pad of buying. Any comments please?

Best Answer: This is the most expensive pad I've ever bought but it is worth it! Fits beautifully under my Crates saddle w/round skirt, on my old-style Morgans. I like the cut-out over the withers, & the leather on the edges
protects nicely. The shape is easier for me to maneuver than the standard square pads, which I have also & my horses find them very comfortable, even in summer.
Definitely would recommend this product.
