I have used this halter for almost 12 years now... My first mare had hers for 5 years before I decided to retire it and get a new one. The padding on the nose was beginning to get a little stiff and brittle, but it was still perfectly functional. My new mare has been wearing hers for over a year now and it's almost as good as new! Will be buying one for the new yearling soon. Excellent product at an excellent price! I'm never buying a different halter.

If you own an Arabian, go with a smaller size. I purchased these for my Arabian and my Friesian/Hanoverian. It serves its purpose on my Arab, but is quite big - but is perfect on my Friesian/Han.
I order both in Average!

I bought two of these and they are super comfortable for the horses and stylish too. They do run big so had to buy one size down but they are very nice.

This is a great quality halter especially for the price. I have had mine for about 5 years now and it still looks brand new. I originally bought it for my gelding as he has a nasty old scar on his nose that get's irritated by other halters. He is comfortable and happy and so am I. I sometimes use this on other horses when trailering and it's perfect.

This halter does run big. I bought average for my mustang and a large for my palomino but the average fit my palomino. I then ordered a small for my mustang and it fit perfect. Much better than my other halter. My palomino use to get rub marks on his nose from the other halters but not with this. They don't seem to mind this halter at all. I have bought 2 for each horse and am donating the large to a local horse rescue. The engraved name plate looks great on this halter also.

I ordered 3 of these halters. The pony halter is supposed to be for 300-500 lb ponies. It's huge! Maybe it'll fit a horse instead. I also ordered 2 larges, one blue and one purple. The blue halter is about an inch smaller than the purple halter and doesn't fit my horses. So only 1 out of the 3 fit. They are ok quality for the price but the padding doesn't hit in the right place if you're using the bottom 2 holes.

I got it in red. It's very nice, it has a little padding on the nose and the top. Looks wonderful on my horse. Very good quality so far. I recommend it.

I bought a blue one for my appendix gelding, his head usually fits average size so I ordered average and I am glad I did and didn't go with the other reviews, for him it fit perfectly and looks really nice on him. The padding in the nose band and behind the ears prevents rubbing and he seems happy with it. Will be ordering more soon for my other horses as well.

This halter is really nice quality for the price. I like the hardware. It's not flimsy. I love the padding. Due to the reviews, I ordered the "small" size (says yearling on the halter) for my average sized QH mare. The halter fits, but just barely. I do wish the chin was adjustable, as it's a bit snug there. But all in all, I would definitely recommend this halter!

This halter is the best! My horse loves it! So comfortable for him! Love the snap. Only thing is the sizing. My horse is a 16hh 18 year old Standardbred gelding. As per the other reviews' suggestions, I ordered a yearling size for him. He takes a cob size bridle. This halter is like it was made for him. It fits PERFECTLY! I kinda wish it had an adjustable chin but no biggie! I recommend this halter to everyone!

I have been using these halters for years. I love the neoprene nose and crown bands to help prevent friction and loss of hair. My only minor complaint is the size. I always have to order one size smaller than the manufacturer suggests. I have washed these out by hand and have had no problem. They last a long time for my horses.

I purchased the average horse for my mare who usually wears Cob size. The halter was so large that it's even too big for a 16-2 hand hanovarian gelding at my barn.

i bought this halter because my pony had rubbing on his face from his leather halter. A little heavy, but good padding. Much too big for my pony, though. even after i ordered the smallest size. it came off in the meadow. great product if it would fit. i like the blue color!

The padding over the horse's nose was quickly destroyed in his first game of halter tag. Otherwise I loved the snap and quality of the halter

The reviews I read-all said halters ran big. The large barely fits my mule and it does not fit my friends 16 hand warmblood at all. The nose band is average size, throat latch is large size.

Bought this halter for my Arab mare that is 15HH. she does not have a tiny head for an Arab but compared to a quarter horse her head is small i guess. i ordered the Average and it really is too large. Unfortunately I can't return it now because as she was a new horse i had no other halter for her to wear so i had to use it. Please do yourself a favor and order down a size. However that said it's a LOVELY halter. very nice quality. i would buy again, ordering the yearling size next time :)

I ordered this in a yearling size based on several reviews stating that these run really large. I have a Arabian and a TWH and this was much too small for either. It seems true to a yearling size to me, I recommend ordering as you normally would and ignore the comments about the halter running big. Maybe it did in the past but that was not my experience.

This halter is wonderful, I bought one for my standardbred. He is typically sensitive to halter rubbing, but this one is wonderful for him. I recently bought one for an arabian at a stable i go to. Thank goodness i read all the reviews. I never would have realized they run big, because my standardbred usually wears large halters anyway. I ordered a yearling size for the arabian and it fits her lovely, with room to grow! Its a great halter, just make sure you get the right size. But with horse.com's wonderful customer service, it wont be a problem if you get the wrong size.

This halter does indeed offer a no rub with great rubber padding that is breathable on the top of the nose and behind the ears. The sizes do run big. My horse usually takes a Cob size and I ordered the yearling one which fits her fine. If your horse does not wear a cob size normally I would recommend getting the average size one.

Good quality halter but they do run BIG. I'm having a hard time fitting my QHMorgan Gelding with the available size options. I have already ordered a Large and then an Average size for him but still no luck even with all the possible adjustments. I'm afraid the yearling size may be too snug. I do like the padded feature since other halters seem to rub him around the cheek area.

I got this halter about a week ago and tryed it on my four year old paint it fits him very well. The padding is great and it does not rubb. It also has a clip on the side so you don't have to keep buckling it and rebuckling it.

This halter is GREAT. My thoroughbred has sensitive skin and traditional nylon halters would rub the hair off her skin. But with this halter, the padding is just what she needs. no more hair rubbing off!

I purchased this for my mare who is not hard on halters at all. I wanted to try one with a padded noseband to eliminate the hair loss along her face. The padding started falling apart after 3 days of turnout (4-5 hours a day). I'm glad Horse.com has great customer service and is giving me a refund.

This is a superior halter. I was concerned that the neoprene may rub the horse's hair off - this was not the case. I have bought one for all of my horses and they have held up wonderfully!

Love this halter. The padding does not mark my horse face. When cross tied it is comfortable for may horse. Going to have one for all horses in my barn. Durable too.

The nylon isn't stiff at all and it fit my small arabian with the yearling/ small size. Some halters that claim to have padding really don't, but this one does. If you're looking for something style-ish and comfortable for your horse, this is your product!

All the horses in my barn have this halter, each a different color. They hold up well, stay looking good for a long time, are easy to clean and slips on nicely. Of course they are comfortable too. We have well behaved horses so they don't need much correction. We don't leave them on in the pasture, but if you wanted to do that you could order a piece of breakaway leather for the cheek strap and you wouldn't even notice it. They were only about $10 when I first started buying them, but I would still pay the higher price that I see today.

My horse gets turned out with other horses every day and they can play pretty hard. This halter stands up to the abuse very nicely. Doesnt rub or fade. Just spray it off when it gets muddy. Excellent price too.

I ordered the wrong size for my petite Arabian. Other than that, it was a very good product, and I gave my halter to my grandpa, because he has bigger horses. It hasn't broken yet, and we left them tied for hours while we worked with other horses. It didn't break even when they pull against it.

I Loved this halter for my horse. The old halter would rub all the hair from her nose and cheek. Since using this product I have noticed the hair has come back and the skin is no longer irritated. The padding on the nose and poll have really helped. This is a great product!!
