CORTA-FLX® U-GARD™ Powder

 

Field trials show that U-GARD™ is highly effective on helping gastric ulcers that may be caused by the stress of training, competition, stall confinement and diets high in carbohydrates

 

·         Contains Calcium and Magnesium – which aid in acid reduction

·         Clinically proven to be effective in helping decrease the severity of gastric ulcers

·         Available in 4 lb. and 8 lb. powder form

Guaranteed Analysis:
Calcium, Min - 2.5%
Calcium, Max - 3.5%
Magnesium, Min - 3.5%

Feeding Directions:
For an average 1,100 lb (500 kg) horse, feed 1 oz (28 g) twice daily with the horse's regular feed or mix with a small amount of water and give orally. Prior to training or event, give an additional 1 oz (28 g). Feed others according to body weight, less for smaller horses, ponies and foals, more for larger breeds.  1 oz measure enclosed in container.

U-gard, 1/20/2012

I have used U-gard for years for horses that tend to have digestive problems. In couple cases it saved their lives. It has helped some of our horses gain weight and keep it on. It also helps horses that tend to leak fluid when producing a manure pile. It is an excellent product and I highly recommend it. Phyllis Herinckx manager Horsin-A-Round Stables

Amazing Results!!, 8/19/2010

My gelding was having stomach issues from the day I got him. I had the vet out to check him, thinking it was colic, two times in a three month period. Finally, during the third episode, the vet asked if the horse had a history of ulcers, and recommended treating him for ulcers. I tried U-Gard (as opposed to the more expensive varieties) first -- what a difference. My gelding hasn't had any stomach issues since. It has been nearly a year now since I first gave him U-Gard, and he seems much more relaxed and comfortable. Amazing Results!!

I have had my horse on UGard for about 5 years. He has been lamenitic and have to watch carefully. Since Bute and Banamine can be really tricky long term through treatment of an episode, UGard has been a savior!. It made all the difference in recovery and diet control. I use a little everyday and up when Bute or Banamine is necessary. Has made all the difference. Highly recommend.

Great product - But pelleted is better!, 3/26/2009

I really like the results I get from this product, but my horses waste a LOT of the powder and grain when I use it with pelleted grain like Strategy. They flat out don't like the taste of the powder unless it's in sweet feed. I tried the U-Gard pellets and they eat them right up, even straight out of my hand. Great product, bad delivery system. Please carry the pellets!

My TB mare has ulcers seen by scoping her stomach and is a bad weaver. The prescription ulcer medicine was too expensive, over $1000 a month. I tried herbs which didn't work. I tried U Gard and I saw a big difference in her weaving within a week, she actually drops her head, and falls asleep! Obviously she is more comfortable. She's gained weight and is all around a happier horse. I don't know if it cures ulcers but it's working somehow! I increased the dose to 2 scoops in the morning and 1 scoop in the evening. Highly recommend this product.

I have all of my show horses on it now and can really tell a difference, especially the studs, they are more content. I have been able to manage the horses that had been diagnosed with ulcers after a healing treatment with gastro guard. I love this product and highly recomend it!
