this product works great. i love the fact that is does not have the fuzzy stuff around the nose, yes it made it soft for the horse but where i live every time my girl rolled it would be filled! with foxtails. Great quality for a good price. i like the elastic straps nice little touch.

My horses have big heads and the full size fits great. They hold up to being taken off by other horses as well.

This is the 3rd season with this mask. He's in a pasture with 6 other horses and the geldings love to play.

Great product. My gelding rips apart fly masks and rips other horses fly masks off. These are perfect for him; he can't get them off and the ears stay intact unlike many other I have tried. I would buy them again.

My two mares are very hard on all of the masks I've had. These did very well and I even put them though the wash a few times! I will be getting more when the old ones do give up.
Great product for the price.

These fly masks are wonderful for the price! Not as good as the more expensive masks, but they do the job without breaking the bank. They durable and none of them have gotten torn so far. The sizes do run large, but they have a good fit overall and my horses haven't been able to rub these off.

I used to by these masks in bulk 7-10 at a time and kept them handy. I have several horses and flys are bad this year.
When I bought them this year I was disappointed because they no longer have the fleece on the edges. This rubbed a bad spot on 2 of my horses. These are ok in a pinch but I would rather buy the supermask now that there isn't any fleece. I do love the big generous size on these masks. I wished that they would go back to the old style so that the customers could go back to getting a great value. I loved this mask with the previous design and it was the only one I used to buy.

I bought 2 of these, one for my Polish Arabian and one for my Morgan x gelding. Both of my horses really good about keeping masks on. The colt who lives with my gelding managed to tear it off of him several times. It fit both horses very well however it did get a tear in the ear on the gelding's. Overall it's good for the price!

This is a good mask for the price. Although I prefer the more expensive Cashel Crusader masks, I decided to go with this mask instead.
My gelding is 3 years old, 900 lbs., and about 14.2 hands. I purchased the small size, knowing these masks run large, and I have to tighten the mask as much as possible for it to fit, so I highly recommend getting the next size down from the recommendations. This mask does not fit my 500 lb. yearling or a 600 lb. pony I have in training. However, once on, I like the good quality of the mask, the size of the ears, the size of the cheeks, etc. If your horse is 900 lbs.+, this mask could work until you can afford a more expensive mask. I will note that my gelding is in a hotwire fence with companions who do not mess with the stuff on his face, and he is easy on masks (though it's a different story for blankets! :) ). He is not able to rub this mask off. I would not recommend this mask for a horse who is notorious for removing masks or has companions who do it for him. Instead, I would go with the Supermask II by Farnam, or the Crusader by Cashel. You may also need to be cautious about rubs around the nose and ears, as it is nylon, especially on clipped horses, but I have not had any problems.

I have 4 of them. My horses love them. I am ordering 4 more, for the other 4 horses. The ear flies are bad this year. This mask is wonderful!

I always buy several of these masks each year because I have a few horses that enjoy ripping them off their buddies. Yes, they are not as high quality as the $20+ masks, but they do the job & don't cost me a fortune. The darts are sewn correctly & don't stick in the eye & they fit halfway decent around the face. Word of warning! They are sized very LARGE. If your horse normally takes a Large, get the Medium, etc. All in all, if you have beasties like mine, these masks are well worth the price.

I ordered three of these becuase they havent had any of the other defender masks with the fuzzy trim since last fall except for size small. Those masks were awesome -maybe they are just not making them anymore. So I gave in and bought three of these thinking they were similar quality but just without the fuzzy trim. no, they are junk. And the sizing runs huge! These would never keepflys off my horses becuase they could just fly up the huge gaps in the mask. Returning all three.
