Product Summary:

The Easyboot Rx is the therapy boot used by veterinarians and hoof care professionals for lower limb/hoof problems, recovery from surgery or injury, or for horses that cannot tolerate prolonged time on hard surfaces. The sole is constructed of durable and soft rubberized material much like that used in human orthotics, with 4-way stretch and secure hook-and-loop closures. With three vents for air circulation, the hoof stays cool without accumulation of debris.   Can be used to hold paste, gel, or powder meds onto the hoof for an extended period of time.  Not intended for liquid applications.  The upper is made with 4-way stretch material and secure hook-and-loop closures. Each boot comes with an EasyCare Comfort Pad for additional support. Quick and easy to apply and remove, this boot is not intended for riding but can be used for light turn out. Sold individually.

Features:

• Therapy boot for support and relief from chronic lameness, laminitis, founder, navicular and other lower limb or hoof problems
• Great for horses recovering from injury, surgery or for those that have difficulty with hard surfaces
• Great for trailering or breeding operations
• Easy to apply and remove
• Not for riding, but okay for light turn out

How to measure for the Easyboot Rx:
1. After a fresh trim, measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.
2. Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. Do not include the heel bulbs in your measurement.
3. Compare your measurements with the sizing chart. For an ideal fit, the length and width measurements should fall under the same size on the chart. Be sure to size up if using the Easyboot Rx with bandaging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Heaven Sent My mini was in bad shape! I tried taping everything under the sun to his poor little hoofs to give him some relief, mainly because getting things for miniatures is so difficult! Then I read the rave reviews on these boots, tried a pair and I am so grateful! I did take the advise and went up one size. Thank you! My little guy is walking and on the mend! August 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots These boots are really great. We use them on a mare that was sore-footed and heavy in foal. She went from never wanting to move, to cruising around the pasture. She now wears them after she is trimmed, and if she seems sore, and no longer needs shoes. They stay on, are easy to put on, are well-made, and handle turnout well. The farrier is very impressed! Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Boot! Our mare had a hoof abcess that made it very painful for her to walk. I wanted to keep her in the pasture but was not able to keep the bandage/wrap on her foot. Due to the length of time it was expected to heal I ordered 2 boots, one for each front foot so she could walk evenly. I ordered one of the boots a bit larger for the hoof that needed to stay wrapped. These were recommendations by EZ boot customer service and was good advice. Right away she appeared more comfortable, with less of a limp and she was able to stay in the pasture with the boots on (much better for circulation) and the wrap stayed relatively clean. There was some mud inside after a rainy day, but the bandage stayed on and her hoof stayed clean. They are VERY easy to get on and off, a light weight, but strong material and they seemed comfortable to the horse. The come with a soft, removable pad but other pads can be ordered as well of various widths and density. May 31, 2010
