is it safe for a pregnant mare?
A shopper on Jul 17, 2014
Best Answer: Angela, I am a breeder and it is still necessary to worm your mares while pregnant to protect her and the foal. I have used Exodus, but only in mid term. I typically use Panacur or Safeguard in early pregnancy. Anthelcide EQ mid term and one week prior to foaling, Ivermectin. This helps to cut down on parasite load in the new foal at birth. ALWAYS give your horses several days of Probiotics after worming to replenish the good bacteria in their gut.

Will this product work for tapeworms?
mary h on Feb 4, 2015
Best Answer: This product is primarily for roundworms and hookworms. Our vet has advised us to rotate wormers because worms can become resistant if you always use the same spectrum of worm medicine. We tend to worm every three months. So the next time we would use a wormer that covered tapeworms etc.
