I am thinking of using this for cleaning my winter blankets, would this be a good use, if not what is best?
Alan J on Sep 2, 2014
Best Answer: I think you'd be better off using a laundry detergent (get one that's scent and dye free to be on the safe side) and go to a laundermat with those giant heavy-duty machines. Use the longest cycle offered, extra pre-wash and extra rinse if you can, then line dry (wash racks are great spot for this). The shampoo is good for bathing but blankets get pretty nasty and I don't think it would be strong enough to wash them. Detergent and sunlight should get even the dirtiest blankets clean and fresh (well, for horse blankets!)
