Disappointed from Seattle Area, WA
I purchased one of these tubs while temps were still warm. Unfortunately I did not test it. So when the time came to set it up I put in water and immediately noticed it leaked around the heating element. Although I was one day short of the 30 day return policy they told me i should contact the manufacturer. I called them and they told me to send them the tub and they would repair or replace it. So I thought I would purchase a second one while the manufacturer did their thing. Just received the second tub, it leaks as well. I am sending it back. I think the product concept is great to avoid electrical cords over the top of a tub. But, they have to make them to not leak!

it is soooooo nice not to have to get up first thing and bust ice so my buddies can drink...dehydration is a serious thing and no fenced animal should be without plenty of water....ever!!!!

I love these tubs. Have had mine for 7 years with not one problem. We have had very cold/icey winters the last two years and the tub has held up thru it all. I leave it plugged in 24/7 once the temps stay down during the day. I just top off every night and then dump/scrub out about every 3-4 days. I did make the mistake of unplugging one on an expectionally warm day and did not dump the water out. It refroze overnight and cracked the tub. Totally my fault - nothing to do with defective product. I am buying another one to replace for this winter.

I purchased one of these about 6 years ago - never had any trouble with it until my husband smashed it with the tractor into pieces :( I am definately ordering another one to replace it. Hope I am as lucky with this one!!

I bought two buckets three years ago. Best thing since safety pins and baggies. My husband moved my older dogs to the front kennel but left one of the just filled buckets and unplugged it to "save energy,"just when the worst storm in 40 years took temp to -17 here. Ice expanded & broke bucket, so I put my old stock pot in it, filled it with water & put it in the front kennel.

Worked great for about 8 days and then the element stopped heating. Looks great, sounds like a good product, but don't waste your money.

I love this bucket! We have winters that stay around 5 degrees for a week and then 20 the rest of the winter. I keep my horse in the stall on those really harsh cold days/nights and I only use this heated bucket for his water. Keeps the water perfectly liquid and normal. And the cord folds right up under the bucket so i store it when its not winter and use it. Its an all around great bucket. and I recommend it to everyon!

I ordered two tubs last season. One leaked and the company immediately sent another without my having to send the other back, which was great customer service. The two tubs were great all winter. I stored them in my shed over the spring and summer and just took them out to use for winter. Unfortunately, they BOTH now leak out of the heating element at the back of the tub. Very disappointing.

It's been in the single digits and the water hasn't frozen! When it is frigid cold the water still stays cold, which is expected. On warmer days I'm surprised to find the water warm to the touch! My horses love this and I've noticed them drinking more out of these than their stall buckets (a different brand). Highly recommended!

My horse is VERY fickle or weird I haven't decided, we moved to N from FL 2 yrs ago and he really loves VERY warm water to drink, even in the summer so this bucket has been a saer espically in the winter when dehydration occurs. Good product for my horse anyway.

This is a good price, I thought after using it for a few months something was wrong with the thermostat, as the water seems really warm. But I guess that's how it's supposed to work, not sure, will investigate it more. But it's better than the 750 watt one I had, to hot for my small tank, and I don't mind changing the horse's water to give her clean water.

I purchased this tub a year ago. It has worked great. The water is always thawed. Do have to clean it out a little more often, do to it heats the water to warm.

When I first saw this product, I thought that it was great and I purchased one. Two weeks after I put it to work, the heating element stopped working and my bucket froze solid. I ordered another one, and once again approx. 2 weeks after installation, the heating element burned out!! My 5gal flat bucket has been working for 5 years now without problem, and this 16gal one lasted 2 weeks! Finding a replacement heating element is also a joke as no one carries one in this size or wattage, so basically I threw I wasted money on this product!
