I found out about Biospot when I was working at a kennel in the midwest, had I not worked there -- I may never have given Biospot a go. However, I will never use anything else! Biospot is the best, the cost is certainly affordable (I have 2 LARGE dogs and 1 medium sized), and it WORKS. I have never seen a dog have a bad reaction to it -- and I have known MANY who have had it applied. We move/travel frequently (military family) and from the midwest, to the north, to the south, our dogs have always been protected and flea-free. We always live in the country, and they love to be outside, and have never had an issue. The ONLY negative is that it will leave oil spots where applied for a few days, and it can seep onto wherever your pet lays.

This is the best product for the price. It beats all other products of this kind in price and is just as good.

I put this on my dogs and they are having terrible problems with fles. There aren't many on them at any one time, but they are scratching a lot. One is allergic to flea bites and is in misery. I won't buy this again.

I have used this for 2 years for my Basset Hound with excellent results. He gets groomed once per month with bio spot being applied after each bath, and I have never found a flea or tick on him. We live in the country and he spends alot of time outside. Thank you for a great less expensive product.

I would have never used this product except that a friend who owns a feed store made me a bet: if it didn't work, he would pay me back full price.
He won! I've used all sorts of products - some work some don't - some are expensive, some aren't.
I'm staying with this one. It does leave a oily spot on the animal, but it takes care of pests. If you're trying to save money AND trying to find something that works, try this.

I have used K9 Advantix on my two dogs for a few years. Last year I decided to try Biospot to save some money in a tough economy after a friend recommended it. The price is great and no fleas were evident. The problem is each month when I applied the product as directed I noticed both dogs scratching and biting ALOT for a week or so following the application. By the third month it was clear that it was bothering them. Also, the friend that recommended it (his pet supply store recommended it to him) also noted the same behavior from his dogs. Not worth the risk!

I have 2 Scottish Terriers and I have never had a problem and we live out in the country. I have never seen one flea or tick on them. I put 1 dose on them every month. They even swim at our city home which is a inground pool and that does not effect them. They get groomed once a month. So they get a varity of living conditions and Bio spot works in all conditions. This is the 4th year I have used it. So I approve it.

I discovered my toy poodle had fleas, and tried everything to get rid of them. I then tried bio-spot. The first application ridded him of most fleas. After the second application a month later, not a flea was to be found. It took care of all of them in all stages. I am very impressed with this product!

I used it i never saw a flea or tick on any of my 3 dogs after using bio spot they are inside dogs who live in the country and o play outside. they get exposed to tall grass and woods all the time. They get baths every 2to 3 weeks. bio spot works for them. people who have flea problems you have to stick with flea control regularly , give regular baths at least every 3 to 4 weeks and consider keeping outdoor dogs inside once you give them a goo flea bath. Then 24 to 48 hours after a bath apply it, and it should keep working if applied regularly it works for me.

A waste of money I'm sorry to say. I have bought several sizes for each of my dogs, quite a few times. I even applied this product more often than directed- same results! Fleas all over my outside dogs, constant biting and scratching. I will have to go back to one of the 'top' expensive brands, I'm sorry to say. They do WORK well.

I have several dogs, and have had for many years. I always use BioSpot on my dogs, and I only put it on them twice a year, in the spring and in the Fall. My dogs have never had fleas. We live in the country. And if they get a tick it is only one for the season. My dogs only get two baths a year too, and they live in the house. I use BioSpot because it is much cheaper than Frontline plus frontline did not work for my dogs many years ago. Frontline is also the product exterminators use at your home when they are spraying for termites. I am too cancer phobic to use it, plus it's too expensive.

I have 7 dogs of different breeds and 2 cats. I usually use Frontline plus but as you can imagine, it is exspensive for this many animals. I switched to Bio-Spot and what a mistake!!! My animals became infested and it was a nightmare to get the fleas out of my house.

I was considering switching from Frontline Plus to BioSpot. I checked with my vet first who strongly recommended against the product due to their seeing seizures in kitties, although they haven't experienced problems with dogs. My vet suggests you stick with Frontline or Advantage. Your vet may feel differently, so I'd suggest consulting with your vet before using.

My friend with two Mastiffs recommended this product to me when I was complaining about the smell of another product. This product is not offensive to the senses, my dog doesn't flinch when I apply it, and we've survived a spring at the dog park with not a single flea! I'm thinkin' it's pretty good!

Used product for the first time on my chocolate lab. He didn't have any adverse reaction to the product, but my washer and dryer did! I applied the product as instructed one morning. Late evening that day, scooby was waiting by the door for his "dad". Not long after that, we noticed that the bottom of the dryer and washer had been damaged, like it was etched. Here, when scooby was sitting against the dryer, the Bio-spot(which was applied at the base of the tail) got on the paint and "ate" it. My question is, that if it does that to a painted plastic piece, what is it doing to my dog and his skin...So, if you have indoor dogs you're applying to, be careful where they sit and against what! Guess it's back to the Advantage product. I have to note that we've been dealing with Bio-spot about this issue and they are investigating their product. If anyone else has had an experience like this, please contact the company so they can resolve these issues and hopefully market a better product.

I fostered rescue dogs for 7 years and used on my dogs for about 15. No fleas and no strange reactions in all that time or with any of the more than 50 dogs. No problems when I've used Front Line or Avantage either, but at about half the price, I'll stick with Bio Spot. I've heard of others having trouble, but unless I do, I won't be switching to the higher priced stuff

My dog had a terrible reaction to the product. I recommend you try a little first to test your pets reaction. No reaction like this from Frontline Plus. Yes, it was less expensive but in the end it ended up costing me nearly $90 for the vet and treatment to help relieve her suffering. Not a very good bargain.

I have a 130 pound Rottie and 85 pound Boxer/Bulldog and hav'nt seen a flea or tick sense I started using Bio-spot. I have used the over 60 pound treatment for over 3 years now and have'nt seen one flea or tick plus it repels mosquito's.Be sure to get the correct treatment for size of pet if pet is 31pnd. don't get the 16-30pnd. and expect it to work as well. I also make sure that fleas ar'nt breeding in my yard also, if you have a infestation in your yard or house of course your going to still see fleas on your pets. It may repel and kill them if they get on your pet but if dozens at a time are running up there leg's your bound to still see fleas on them. It works up to 4 weeks for me just like it advertises and only cost 16.99 for 6 months, can't be beat. My boxer is allergic to bites and Biospot has worked great. It has a citrus smell and has never irritated my pet's skin but I guess if any pet has sensitive skin you may have to do some research on all the topical brands. Maybe it don't work as well on some dog's but I'll never use anything else.

We live in Texas, where flea's live year round and just continue to multiply. we have great dane's and mastiffs, so I know how hard it is to find a product that does what you need it to, and won't kill your pocket book. Advantage is one of the best vet perscribed products on the market for flea's were frontline is the safest (most non-toxic). Bio-spot is more toxic than the other products, but it also works. so it may burn or sting some dog's when you put it on them. I have two dog's that are allergic to flea bites, they get one bite from a flea and just will chew of thier hair. for showing and breeding that's not acceptable. I use bio-spot once every 3-4 weeks and about a week before I apply a new coat I give them a capstar, (found at your local vet clinic, kills all flea's on dog instantly, but only works for about 24 hours.) In addition to treating my yard and house, this is the only thing that has kept them at bay. because it is more toxic, very sensitive skinned dog's may find this product too much. for smaller dog's that are inside most of the time, this may be a little more than they need.

Two days ago I used Bio Spot on my 1 year old English Bulldog. When I put the first few drops between her shoulders she took off running. Thinking that she was just being silly or didn't like the smell (it is VERY strong) I chased her down and put the rest on the base of her tail and between her shoulders. Within seconds she took off running around the house, spinning like crazy and squealing. I realized that it was BURNING her. I read the warning on the package and it said that serious reactions were possible since it was a pesticide. She is the toughest dog I have ever seen and to see her react like this was heart breaking. She finally got on the couch and curled up and went into a shock-like state. She laid there without moving except for shaking and labored breathing. She would then snap out of her shock and take off running again and then go back into shock. It was HORRIBLE! I tried to wash her and get as much off as I could but it didn't seem to help a lot. She did eventually calm down enough to sleep and was better in the morning although she was still lethargic and spinning around trying to lick her "wounds". Today she finally seems to be back to normal. After researching on the internet I have found countless other reactions like this including some where dogs lost hair and chunks of dead skin from the chemical burn. We are now going to try some natural methods to control ticks and fleas (not Sentry however because I have read of the same types of reactions with it). I know that this reaction does not occur in all dogs but PLEASE spot test your dog before using an entire application on them! I wish I had.

I have a 1.5 yr old weim that uses this and it works great on the ticks, as for the fleas ,well it must work great for them also because she hasnt had any, that could be due to a CLEAN house also.Dont just treat the dog and expect the infestation to just go away.Do your dogs a favor and fog the house they live in.
This product is great ,no need to spend extra cash on a product that will give the same results.

Because my Rotty mix was still covered and my Lab mix did okay on it.Both wore off well before the 30 days and both were itching and scratching by the 3 week mark. I think I'll just stick to the K9 Advantix for results. I was a little disappointed on this product.

I switched to Bio-Spot when we moved to Texas because it repels mosquitos. They can die from West Nile Virus, they just scratch with fleas. But we have not had any problems, no fleas, no ticks, no mosquitos. And my dogs seem to take it better than FrontLine. It doesn't irritate the skin as much.

We got this product for our dog and it was completely WORTHLESS! It didnt do anything at all. I could have put water on my dog and it does the same thing as biospot. The only thing that I dont like is the smell when first applied- there is no ordor the next day-just the first few hours, but the dogs dont seem to mind. I have used the more expensive product from my vet, but this works just as well and at a fraction of the cost.
