GOOD STUFF, 7/4/2012

MaMano from SE WI

My Arab is pastured during the day and would be covered in fly bites. She is quite a fan of rolling in dirt and the sprays weren't cutting it in long-term protection. I found this product very effective in tick and stable fly control, but would add to the instructions that it is very helpful to put it on a small gauze pad after running it down the topline so that you can cover the entire leg plus the belly and udder. When you do this, it stops the "stable fly stomp" dance you see all the unprotected horses doing.

Great on ticks, 6/28/2012

Sarah from Howell, NJ

I use this mostly for its tick repelling capabilities. NJ is awful for all varieties of ticks but this stuff keeps them off my horse which is especially nice since his skin is reactive to tick bites besides the threat of lymes. The fly repelling part leaves something to be desired but it's the ticks that concern me the most here and it works wonderfully on them!

Ticks be gone!, 4/30/2012

Karen from Salinas, CA

I have two retired pastured mares and one is very attractive to ticks while the other won't tolerate any sprays, like fly sprays. This definately works to keep ticks from biting and the ones that do after application appear to die quickly. We're not into fly season yet so we'll see. Neither horse like having it put on and I wonder if it stings. Would love to know if others had that reaction.

No ticks, but horse not pleased, 4/10/2012

Sue from Rogersville, AL

I put this on before a ride and my horse went crazy. I had to turn him loose and he rolled and rolled. Finally I brushed him again and he seemed okay. The good part was there were no more ticks on him. But I had to use another spray for the flies and I wonder how toxic the combination is.

WASTE OF MONEY, 7/27/2011

Slick from Baltimore, Md.

I bought this with high hopes because of most of the reviews. This did NOTHING to help with the flies. I'm going to see what can be done to return the rest of this product that I have not used. It does not work at all.

Best pest control I've found, 6/20/2010

Allison from

My horse is pastured year round with several other horses. He's the only one treated with Equi-Spot - and is the only one that isn't covered in flies. I re-apply every two weeks and have used it for years.

Amazing, 6/12/2010

Janee from

I used this product last year and liked it, but didn't really know how effective it was until now. I didn't get the Equi-spot on before I let my horses out into the grass pasture last month. Within a couple days, they were covered with ticks. Instead of picking them off, I applied Equi-spot and in three days, there were just a few on them on the horses and others were dead. By the end of the week, there were none.

Equi-Spot helps relieve worry about Lyme Disese , 6/3/2010

Donna from

In the last several years I have had 2 horses come down with Lyme Disease, plus we began to find ticks on all the horses which we never had before. Last year, in fear of the Lyme Disease,I began to use Equi-Spot. I have not found a tick on a horse since, and along with fly predators, the flies are greatly diminished. What a relief, as I was finding 2 or 3 on the horses every day. None now. I use them monthly Dec/Jan/Feb and every 2 weeks March/April/May/June, then once monthly again July/August and every 2 weeks Sept/Oct/Nov. What a relief.Expensive but well worth the cost considering the terrible effects of Lyme Disease and or worrying about it!!

reduce sweet itch, 5/9/2010

Westview Manor STables from

If I use it *every* week instead of every two weeks it keeps away the flies that give my mare sweet itch. A little more expensive that way but well worth it!
