We have to horses that are outdoors 24/7. The winters here are wet and cause concerns for foot care. Put our girls on this last Nov to help keep them healthy. No complaints from us or farrier. We feed it before morning mash to ensure they eat the full dose. They gobble it right down.

It does have a distint smell and from a horse that used to neigh and come running at grain time to a horse having to be caught and led then dropping feed looking around and walking away not finishing her feed. That tells me a lot. I even added more grain she doesn't need to blend in-doesn't matter. I hope to see results because I plan to finish making her eat what I have purchased for her hooves sake but don't plan to buy more.

We own a Belgian gelding, who had horrible feet when he was acquired. After less than a year on Horseshoer's Secret, his feet started to improve, remarkably! Our farrier has suggested 'taking a movie' of the big guy's feet. He stated they are THEE BEST feet, of all Draft horses he works on. HSS is completely palatable and has made a huge difference in Clyde's feet. During the Winter he is rasped every four weeks; Summer, he's shod/reset every eight weeks. This is the greatest supplement on the market, for bad/chippy/thin feet and we recommend it for all horses, in particular Drafts.

Rated by 5 out of 5 Resa and Honey Great product!!
My Horse Honey, is a Palomino and has extreamly soft feet, our Farrier recommended Horseshoer's Secret for us and we never looked back. I've used this product on 2 different horses over the past 2 years and have gotten the same result for both, harder feet, if you are looking for a good supplement to feed, look no further and try this product!!!

Rated by 5 out of 5 Molly Great hoof supplement
My12 year old Quarter Horse began having hoof wall weakening about a year ago. I tried another supplement recommend by my vet that had the certain ingredients he said would aid in hoof strength. It worked but it was really hard to feed to my horse, he hated the taste so it became a battle every day.
When researching for a different supplement with the same ingredients that my vet recommended I found Horseshoer's Secret. It was very easy to feed my horse I didn't even have to mix it with anything. After three months I can see a difference.

Rated by 4 out of 5 Tatiana seems to do the job
My horse was having terrible cracking problems and could not keep shoes. I had to pull the shoes but after putting him on this stuff he seemed to harden up really nicely and only has the occasional chip even with no shoes on! I say it really works. Definately recommend for the price.

I've been using Horseshoer's Secret for about one year on my paint trail horse. My farrier always comments that his hooves are in good shape. Enough said.

Why did you choose this?
Will this product help a flat footed horse with thin hoof walls?
Best Answer: My quarter horse has flat feet and before this product he had many cracks and would get frequent abscesses. I even had front shoes for a brief time but that was worse. Now, his feet look great and very few cracks other than normal between farrier visits. He used to get those long scary ones that had to be dug out at the top to try and keep them from cracking further. I highly recommend this product.
Does this product expire?
Best Answer: No, and it will be enough to feed every day before it would go bad. It has looked fresh and the horses have eaten it always as long as it has lasted.
My horse has good strong feet, is a Kentucky Mountain Gaited gelding. I want to keep his hooves strong, as they seem to chip easily. He has never worn shoes, and don't intend to do that. He will just be trail ridden, and although he is a "looker" with a great presence, I don't plan on showing. I plan on keeping him on about a half a scoop daily, (3 ounces). He is 900 lbs. Is the best plan? D
Best Answer: My quarter horse gelding has low heels and got many abcesses and chips, so I got shoes on the front for a while, but it wasn't a good solution. I switched farriers and he suggested this product. I no longer had the bad chipping, or abcesses, his hooves grew longer and stronger and he has had NO problems since I started with Horseshoers secret over 6 years ago. It worked for me.
