How often do you recommend feeding this product?
jaylynn b on Mar 13, 2014
Best Answer: I didn't realize my horses had a problem until I had a fecal check done. My vet recommended to feed it 1 week per month for horses with sand problems. I actually only used it once every three months, and had a fecal check done after 6 months. They both only had minimal amounts of sand after 2 treatments in the six month time frame. I am sure alot depends on your grazing area.

I'm confused as to the description of this product it...for example it states that the 3lb tub is a 30 day supply...how can this be possible? If a scoop a day is 5oz that wouldn't cover 30 days??
Karen B on Mar 18, 2014
Best Answer: I had the exact same question because the number of 5oz serving do not add up to the number of total servings stated on the website. I buy the 20lb size, and if you take 20lbs x 16 oz per pound that equals 320 oz per 20 lb container. If you take 320 oz and divide by the 5 oz serving size, it comes to 64 servings/days of Sand Clear. If I divide that by 7 days a month, the 20 lb size should last one horse 9.14 months. I have 2 horses, and the 20lb size does last 4 total months with some left over.

I personally think it is a typo on the site. I called customer service several weeks ago about this, and so far they haven't changed the information.

I just called customer service again, and I was told they thought the page had been updated, but obviously it hasn't. They thanked me for bringing it to their attention.
