Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny I honestly believe this product has saved my horse's life multiple times. Why have to worry about $5,000 vet bills when you can help prevent colic in less than $20 a month? May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product Thank you to whoever invented this product. My rescue horse loved it. Vet started him on it for a month long treatment 2x a day. His gut, according to the vet, was sooo full of sand. Now he looks and acts like a totally different horse. He not only looks better, but acts like he feels better. Now we are on 1 week out of the month for maintenance. I still can't believe the difference in my horse, even his 'attitude' is a lot better. Get the flavored one, as the plain stuff can be pretty bland. November 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive, but works I noticed that this stuff REALLY works! Although, it is very expensive. One thing to note is that my horse doesn't seem to like the taste very much! August 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product, excellent price I can't say that this has cured my horses colic problems because 'knock on wood' he's never. I use this product on recommendations from all my friends and would like to say it's prevented any issues thus far. I will ALWAYS purchase this from this site because the 10lb tub in my local tack stores are over $70 with tax!! My horse loves it, and doesn't have any problems eating it. I feed 1 week per month. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I haven't used this stuff before. I debated between the Manna Pro product and this. Manna pro requires more scoops (perhaps about the same amount just different sized scoops?) but has more flavor I hear. Anyways my horse isn't picky with eating, but she just didn't like this stuff, she spit out a lot of her feed. But I mixed it with her usual feed and found that the bucket was at least empty. We'll see how it changes next week :) January 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by sand clear our land is very sandy and we have had colic trouble. I use this product each month to prevent problems. #1: the horses eat it! I will continue to use sandclear to keep my horses healthy and for prevention. Great product! November 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Must taste good. My picky horses have completely refused to eat their feed when I've added some supplements, but not this one. They seem to enjoy the taste and didn't waste a pellet. November 1, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product. Keeps our herd healthy, even eating on the sandy pasture we have here. June 25, 2011

How often do you recommend feeding this product?
jaylynn b on Mar 13, 2014
Best Answer: I didn't realize my horses had a problem until I had a fecal check done. My vet recommended to feed it 1 week per month for horses with sand problems. I actually only used it once every three months, and had a fecal check done after 6 months. They both only had minimal amounts of sand after 2 treatments in the six month time frame. I am sure alot depends on your grazing area.

I'm confused as to the description of this product it...for example it states that the 3lb tub is a 30 day can this be possible? If a scoop a day is 5oz that wouldn't cover 30 days??
Karen B on Mar 18, 2014
Best Answer: I had the exact same question because the number of 5oz serving do not add up to the number of total servings stated on the website. I buy the 20lb size, and if you take 20lbs x 16 oz per pound that equals 320 oz per 20 lb container. If you take 320 oz and divide by the 5 oz serving size, it comes to 64 servings/days of Sand Clear. If I divide that by 7 days a month, the 20 lb size should last one horse 9.14 months. I have 2 horses, and the 20lb size does last 4 total months with some left over.

I personally think it is a typo on the site. I called customer service several weeks ago about this, and so far they haven't changed the information.

I just called customer service again, and I was told they thought the page had been updated, but obviously it hasn't. They thanked me for bringing it to their attention.
