Does the ice come out when you put pressure on bottom?
Sandra C on Jan 25, 2016
Best Answer: Yes. We use these buckets for our horse stable. Some are in the barn and sometimes outside. In the barn, since it is not frozen all the way through, we just hit the side of the bucket with a metal bar while it is hanging up, then squish the bucket towards the wall and scoop the ice out with an ice fishing ice scoop into another bucket and dump the ice out side. For buckets that have frozen through solid we bring those into the house for a couple of hours until the edges have melted then dump outside. We have never had one split or crack on us. Usually the only reason we replace is because the handle comes off.

How many quarts is this black flat sided bucket?
Dan D on Feb 24, 2015
Best Answer: The bucket is about 4.5 gallons so this would be about 18 quarts. This is a large and very sturdy bucket that i use as the primary feed bucket in stalls. It is mounted using a flat wall mount.
