Best Answer: Hi - It's sort of plastic, I guess, but it doesn't get brittle in the cold or anything like that. It seems to have no odor and my guy had no problem eating from it. It is built well enough that normally a horse wouldn't knock it over, although we all know not to say never when it comes to a horse. I'd recommend it.
