Float worked for about 4 days, then even with multiple adjustment attempts, just allowed water to dribble over the top of bucket. Very dissapointed.

I searched the net over and over and couldn't find a better deal. This has the good rubber/plastic material that resists craking. It came with an extra large hole in the bottom with a really nice plug. Usually you get a flimsy rubber plug on these and this one had a really nice plastic one instead. It was very easy to put together even with only one good hand to use. I will defineately be buying more from horse.com. Thanks for having such a nice, user friendly product.

This waterer is great! It handles the water pressure from the house where other waterers would not close all the way and constantly drip, i plan on buying more!

Not only are these great for horses but my Dogs love it too. In the heat of summer they can dig in it, splash around and get cooled off with out damaging the float valve that's protected by the screwed on cover.
It's big enough for them to play in but not so big it's a huge chore to clean it.
The brackets on the back can slide through chain link so it stays in place and the dogs wont pull it away from the fence.
Great buy and holds up for years.

We bought two of them, and they worked great, the horses, along with the birds love them. One of them broke at the connection going into the bucket. It broke along the threads, and I have not been able to find replacement parts. For the time and money I have spent to try to fix it, I will just have to buy a new one. Other than that, they do work great.

This is a great product, I have had mine for a couple of months, and my fillies love it. Living in OK, running out of water is not an option, and I can rest assured that with this waterer I don't have to worry about that. Wish I would have gotten one a long time ago. Am going to order more. Thank you to Stateline for selling such a quality item.

This come disassembled and wil take about 5 minute each to put together.
We installe 3 of them in about 30 minutes. The waterer had a handy drain valve at the base, one reviewer complained this is easy to remove - they either bought an old model or are reviewing the wrong product, all ours had SCREW type plugs that create a nice tight seal and even the most ingenius horse could not remove. The drain makes cleaning a breeze.
One complaint is the drain sits about 1/4 inch higher than the bottom of the drain opening. So to completely empty the unit you need to mop out the remaining water - not a problem if you usully have these in use all the time, but a problem is you use them occasionally and want to remove all the water to deter mosquitos.
No leaks. Fits with standard off the shelf connectors.
I would buy again, and would recommend to anyone.

I love this product. I have two installed one in each pasture with a garden hose. There are no problems whatsoever. Cleaning them is a breeze...just unscrew the plug, drain and wipe out. Saves on water and scrubbing out a huge stock tank.(been there done that) Always provides clean drinking water for our boys.

I got one of these to try outside in a small paddock. Just hung it up on a jump standard initially. I did add a small length of garden hose with a swivel connection at both ends which made adding the long hose easier. No leaking at all - the plug needs to be properly placed in the drain though. Cleaning is a breeze, I just pull the plug and let it drain into a bucket while I scrub the sides, I don't even turn off the water. I use the bucket of water for my garden - no waste. It was a simple set-up, simple to use product. I've had it for 2 summers and I'm getting more for the rest of the paddocks.

This provides cool water all summer to our herd. We have three and they have worked great IF installed correctly. They must be LEVEL. The washers must be on the correct side and the fittings tight. The bottom drain is a time saver! It definitely saves water too.

I put mine in 1 stall over a year ago, and have had no problems. Hard plumbed with pvc, works great. The bottom plug hasn't been any problem--previous reviewer must have drilled the hole too big or something. There is no way a horse could get their muzzle to the bottom and pull the plug! I came across these reviews because I'm planning to put 3 more in the barn!

I have seven of these and LOVE them! They are tied into my irrigation system, with s/s hoese for washers, and run for three seasons. Never any problems with them running. In fact I'm now looking for 2 of the shorter ones for my low slung dogs.

Although we have to take the float cover off (4 screws -- very easy to remove) and adjust the float. This was because the screws that hold the float had come loose during shipping. Since then the product works great. We put an adapter on ours in order to be able to hook it up to a garden hose. Very easy to do. We like the product and are ordering another.

I have had one of these for over a year. I did put another type of plug in it so it wouldn't leak and I "hard plumbed" mine in with PVC. It does not leak and in fact I am ordering 2 more. I put an extension on the bottom drain so it would drain outside and it works great. I haven't had my horses try playing with it so it is a great additon for not worrying about them going out in the rain to get water.

We bought one of these, and found it to be useless. It leaks at the drain plug which is small version of a kitchen sink plug that comes loose very easily. My horses find it a fun bobbing for apples sort of game and easily pull it out. It also leaks at the top where the water feeds in. Wastes a lot of water and leaves the horses with nothing to drink. Test yours thoroughly before relying on it as your animals only water source.
