Rated 5 out of 5 by Holy Moly! I'm impressed! I needed a breastplate for my new horse. To being with- I'm not a fan of breastplates at all! I was not going to pay an arm and a leg for a "nice" breastplate, but I didn't want a crappy, ugly one either. I was first drawn by the 5-points and the price tag. I saw the good reviews and am perfectly happy with my HDR saddle, so I purchased it only expecting "acceptable" quality. Well! I just opened my package and pulled out this breastplate to find the best quality breastplate I had ever put my hands on! The leather is very good quality. I will probably only have to oil it once to get it floppy. The sheepskin looks and feel completely real. Each leather strap is padded! My $175 bridle isn't even padded! I have absolutely no idea how this breastplate is only $80. I would've paid double that! Oh, and running martingale attachment! If you're in the market, snatch these up! The pricing MUST be a mistake! September 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product My daughter's horse had an accident and crushed his withers making it really hard to fit him with a saddle and keep it from slipping sideways. we borrowed this breast collar at an event for cross country and it was great. The saddle was much more secure and didn't slip sideways at all and we didn't even have it really tight. We will be buying one soon. June 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great breastplate! I just recently bought this for my horse, I love it! I used it right out of the box, the leather is so supple and looks even nicer after being conditioned. I would recommend this for the price to anyone! March 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW! Just got this in the mail. Haven't had a chance to get it on my mare but the quality is AWESOME! I was pretty skeptical because it was so much cheaper than most but I can't wait to show it off at the barn :) March 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great price I havent gotten this yet but I will be soon. I am an eventer and I have been needing a 5 point jumping breastplate but they are usually 150-300$ and I jut plainly didn't have the money. This price is amazing!!!! I hope the product is as good as the price! November 14, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product other breastcollars have no give ,so the elastic 5point design is great for the horse durring heavy sports and endurance ridding. Horses always perform better with comfort and security. August 13, 2011

What exactly is this? It looks like a breastplate at first, possibly with a running martingale attached? But the product summary says "This elegant and attractive bridle features a mono crown, a padded and contoured headstall" which makes it look like a bridle, not breastplate, running martingale, or both...

Best Answer: This is like a breastplate but better. It holds the girth and the saddle in place when riding. It has running martingale attachments as well which is a bonus. The leather is very nice and it has been a great purchase.

Best Answer: Unfortunately the color of the breastplate is a Australian Nut, I would say this would not match.
