It is a very nice product and very handy! but its very wide and my 15 year old Arab doesn't like it very much.

I start all my colts in this bit, no matter what kind of job they are headed for. Race horses, reiners, barrel horses, jumpers, retrain OTs... I don't have horses that are unhappy with the bit, and they all finish with nice handles on them. Best $30 I've ever spent on a bit, it gets more miles than any other bridle, and I can't tell you how many colts I've sold, and had to sell the buyers this bridle when they picked them up because THEY liked it that much.

I didn't buy it here, but this bit is amazing! I have a gelding who used to chew on any bit I put him in. I tried most every bit you can imagine, and people recommended everything from a correction bit (yuck!) to a plain eggbutt snaffle, but with all the bits I tried he would grab the bit in his teeth and put his head down so I had no control. This bit wasn't a magic trick (no bit is), but paired with lots of work and a great trainer to help us out it really did the trick. I don't know if it's more gentle than a traditional snaffle, but it helped him stop fighting the bit and his whole neck softened.

I have one of these for my 3 year old pony, I am breaking her out as kids horse and driving horse, she loves this bit and responds so well to it, Just add bit guards to prevent pinching and it is a wonderful bit.

while i didn't get my bit from this site, i do love the way it works for my mare, who has an EXTREMELY sensitive mouth, and have been riding her the last 1 1/2 yr in a hackamore fore this reason. she is at the point we need to work on some more advanced things and i cant do it with a hack anymore. every other bit was to small diameter mouth piece and piched her gums, i put this in her mouth and she relaxed, her mouth got quiet and, and she dropped her head and was extremely responsive to the lightest pressure.

I use this bit on a nearly 24 year old quarter horse gelding. He does mainly 3rd level dressage, and it is the parfect bit for him. It stays fairly clean saliva wipes off easily and he likes it, judging by his enthusiastic foaming. Nice bit, although a little overpriced for what youre getting. Better than most though!
