What is this bit used for?
Shelly on Aug 18, 2015
Best Answer: This bit should only be used on a finished bridle horse. Meaning, after training with a snaffle bit (tow hands) one can advance to a bosal if necessary, then a spade bit such as this one after a horse is well trained in neck reining. Rider must also learn to have light hands and ride 70% with leg cues and 30% using a single hand on reins. This bit is not for an unfinished horse and novice rider.
