Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Fly Sheet!!! I purchased this fly sheet 8 years ago, and I had a hard time finding the same one. I finally have to buy a new one. Worth EVERY penny!!! April 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the product I have bought several Kensington Blankets... One Med Weight and two fly sheets and love them... they quality is great... will be buying a plum one (fly sheet) before tooo long... March 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Fly Sheet and Mask I purchased the red tartan plaid fly sheet and mask with ears for my horse recently. They are the best fly protection products I have tried. The sheet is VERY durable, breaths well and is very attractive. The mask actually stays on!!! They wash up beautifully. Thank you for carrying such a great product. They are worth every penny! Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product...BUT I got this protective sheet over other fly sheets thinking it would hold up better and it definitely does. The only thing it is so stiff it rubbed my mares chest/shoulder area bald in only 3 days! I was trying to protect her from getting knicks and cuts from out in pasture and it ended up making her look terrible. I think it needs a gusset in that area so it gives a little more while moving. I am attempting to sew a protective fleece/satin area onto the whole chest area (it does have some fabric already sewn in, just not enough) September 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by finally i've tried many other sheets and none lasted more than 2 weeks. my gelding is a "very playful' 5 year old, turned out 24/7 with 8 other horses. he rolls after every ride and plays very rough with the other horses. i read the reviews about this sheet and did go a size up like others suggested and it worked great. he wore this outside for 5 months straight now and it's completely intact...not even one rip!! i'm not the type to write reviews but i had to come back and suggest it because it really did stand up to its name. i would strongly recommend this to anybody with a horse like mine. its super durable, but do get a size up :) August 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Durable So far so good. It's tough! Very easy to clean, just spray off with the hose. August 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very durable, but not perfect This blanket is super durable, but because it's made to be durable it is also very stiff. I don't like the leg straps because it allows the sheet to shift off the rump. No belly wrap, which is a negative. But this blanket will last forever. I don't think my horse can ever tear this sheet. Does a good job keeping both mosquitoes and flies off. Very expensive, but probably will last a lifetime. July 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super! I love how well these fly sheets keep the pests away! My horses can NOT ruin these fly sheets! I love the bright colors too. They've both got matching fly boots as well. Great product! I only wish the price was just a little lower. Over all a great quality though. Well worth what I paid. June 1, 2012

I purchased this because I wanted a good fly sheet and this one had really good reviews. My appy used to be in a field with a big Percheron mare that always bullied him, it got a few holes from her biting him but since he's moved to a new pasture I have not had any issues with holes or tears. I like this sheet. It does rub a bit on his chest so it needs some padding or wool sewn into it.

to have a different color option as well as be able to wash one while my horse has his other on.

Great fit and these last longer than other fly sheets.

Does this come with the belly band? Picture doesn't look like it
A shopper on Apr 1, 2014
Best Answer: I found the belly bands on Ebay for about $26. The newer Kensingtons are set up to take the belly band, but you have to add it yourself.

A shopper on Jun 28, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, they hold up well. my friend who owns , shows and trains Arabs only uses Kensington I have a paint mare 16.2 hands 1500 lbs. and it's on her 24/7 except when I ride . Only fly sheet that has ever lasted more then 1 season.

I live in AZ and my poor paint is getting so burned but I cant leave him in a stall he turns it into a swamp (vet has checked his peeing problem & sunburns). Here we get 110 + days and no humidity. Will the polyester mesh be to hot for him? Thanks
LAUREN R on Aug 13, 2015
Best Answer: The polyester fly sheet works quite well under normal weather conditions. It doesn't seem to add to the heat. It does allow for more airflow than some other sheets. However, under such extreme heat/sun you are experiencing I cannot attest to its efficiency. Personally I would not cover my horses in anything. Lots of water, lots of shade, and fans is what I would do rather than covering them up. Sorry I can't offer more. Lesley

Are these regular cut or european cut??
A shopper on Jul 21, 2015
Best Answer: I don't know what cut, but it was too big in the chest for my 15h Arabian gelding I bought a 72. My Arab mare is smaller frame and is wearing a 70. It fits fine. the 70 was too small for my gelding. So that's why I went to a 72. Disappointing to say the least because my gelding still doesn't have a sheet that works.

How to measure for size when purchasing a fly sheet ?
A shopper on Jul 3, 2015
Best Answer: Stand your horse as square as possible. Measure from the center of the chest around the side of the body to the point of the horse's rump just before the tail. If your horse ends up measuring between sizes, choose the one closest to your measurement unless your horse is particularly big-bodied.
Measuring is usually best done with a helper and a soft or cloth measuring tape. Take the measurement twice to be sure.

how do you measure for fit?
A shopper on May 6, 2015
Best Answer: Measure your horse for the correct blanket size by following these easy guidelines:
1) Stand your horse square.
2) Place your measuring tape at the center of the chest.
3) Measure from the middle of the chest to the center of the tail one side. and that is the horse's blanket size.
