Korsteel® Jointed Uxeter Kimberwick Bit

Commonly seen today in the English events of breed association horse shows, the Kimberwick uses a curb chain for increased leverage. The Uxeter Kimberwick has two rein slots, each changing the desired result. The upper slot is used to increase the pressure on the tongue, while the lower slot is used to increase leverage and curb chain pressure.

My horse is not quite soft enough for a D-ring snaffle, but this gives me just enough extra leverage.

As a back up to my Cambridge Mth Kimberwick.

Best bit I have ever used. Great control with no hurting the mouth.
YVONNE B on Dec 30, 2014
My mare goes good in a kimberwick, but even with a port it is a little too harsh and makes her fling her head up. I thought this bit would be a good place to go now.
CAITLIN D on Aug 5, 2014
is this bit good for green horses?
kelsey l on Dec 14, 2014
Best Answer: For a greenie that needs the added leverage yes, but just a regular snaffle if they don't need any leverage. Or something with a roller, if they like to play with the bit :) Horsedotcom has a lot of options! What's nice about this one is that if you put it in the top slot, it's just like a normal snaffle! :) I would say yes!
