My little mustang mare is a tough one, and she is near impossible for me to control sometimes! A friend is currently lending me this bit, and it works WONDERS on my mare. I have NEVER gotten her to canter so smoothly and willingly when there's been horses/riders standing in the arena. She did so great with this bit, and now I'm hoping to get my OWN for Christmas!

This bit is the best bit i have ever used on my 14 hand quarter horse/P.O.A. mare..I got this bit because I could not slow her down while I was doing a jumping course.Once I got this bit she would turn, not rush the jumps, and would not speed around the course. This is a great bit and I would recommend it for anybody who has a speedy horse that rushes the jumps or speeds through the course.. This is a great bit but I had to pinch where you hook the chain because when I was riding the chain would bounce off the hook.

This is the only bit I will ride my 18h Hanoverian in!! Great leverage and I love the curb chain... He doesn't pull me around in this bit, because he is so big and I'm really small (5'4") this bit give me added security when I'm riding him compared to a regular loose ring snaffle. Great quality, very well made and highly recommend this bit to anyone looking for some added leverage or for anyone that needs a little extra control!

My gelding got injured so I had to take my barrel racing mare into the show ring with about a weeks notice. I tried a few bits before this one, and in each of them she was very bracey and tense. I think this bit was more in her comfort zone and she evened out and really worked in this bit. We placed in each class (how comical!)

I have an older Quarter Horse is pretty lazy and so I was hesitant to try this bit. I had been using a loose french snaffle which was fine for jumping and cross country, but wouldn't get him to really pay attention to my cues in dressage. I used this bit once - same cues - and he softened up immediately and really became round. I love it and wouldn't use anything else for him in the dressage arena!!

I've been using this bit on my Thoroughbred/Warmblood and he's an eventer and it's been amazing to work with. He is speedy wen it comes to jumping and so this bit has helped me able to maintain his speed. It's an excellent training bit for sure. He even likes it better than his hunter dee. I definitely recommend this bit for anyone who is training their horses to be jumper, dressage, or event horses.

I recently started retraining an ex-barrel racer mare for dressage: what a feat! lol
so I started sot (french link eggbut), tried a familiar western tom thumb (just to get started) and neither seemed to have any effect. with this bit, I have been able to gain the control I need to set an acceptable (and sane!) pace by using the lower slot, but also then back off and encourage her to accept contact and be soft on the bit in either tho top or bottom slot! you can also just attach the reins to the 'D' of the bit to alternate more easily from more to less leverage during a ride. The curb chain is also helpful for controlling and retraining the speedy horse.
stays looking like new FOREVER!
Greatly recommended for mares!!!!!
