Durable and mild, 11/9/2011

I bought this for my 1400lb grade Paso Fino gelding because I thought he deserved the mildest bit I could find. It works great and after a year of hard use, it's not showing any damage. Its mildness is unparalleled to anything I've tried (pelhams, jointed snaffles). That said, I seem to have spoiled my gelding and he's now pulling through it. (It's my fault, I haven't been schooling him enough when we ride.) If your horse has a soft mouth or is green, this is a great all-purpose bit. For harder mouthed horses or more technical maneuvers, you'll probably want something different or to put A LOT of time into your training.
