My 4 year old paint was having issues with the full cheek snaffle he was going in, and was sticking his tongue out over the bit. I thought the sweet iron might help his tongue problem and it did! He's much happier in this bit, and doesn't toss his head up anymore. He's gotten lighter in my hands, and doesn't fight me anymore. I ride several times a week and the bit does have rust(I mean is supposed to) but even after a year and a half, the rust is still not to a point that it needs to be changed out. Very well made bit, and a great price.

I haven't used this bit yet, but it's very nice quality for the price. Very smooth metal, although the mouthpiece is fairly thick where it attaches to the rings, so if you have a horse that has a less roomy mouth, it might not be the best choice. However, the point where it attaches to the rings does not look like it will pinch like many loose ring snaffles do.
Like most snaffles, this bit needs to be used with a leather curb strap for safety in case an unintentional hard pull does send it through the mouth. Definitely worth the money and a good bit to have on hand for horses with sensitive mouths.

I have a Norwegian Fjord that I thought this bit would work well for. I was wrong. This bit pulled through her mouth. The bit was well made and the price was great. It just didn't work well for my horse.

I have been going through several bits trying to find one to fit my gelding. He has a low palate, and a sensitive mouth. I was having such a hard time finding double jointed bit that was thin enough to sit in his mouth comfortably, but thick enough that it wasn't too harsh. This bit was perfect! Great quality, no rough edges, and just the right thickness for him. He is going extremely well in it. I would definitely recommend this bit.

I got this bit from a different website, that doesn't offer reviews. I have this in a 4.5" for my Arabian gelding. He goes very well in this bit. I like the sweet iron mouthpiece. Korsteel is a great brand, I highly recommend them!

I have a three year old black quarter horse who just hated the full cheek, single joint bit I had him in. he would toss his head and fight it every chance he got. since putting him in this wonderful french link hes quited down and begun to enjoy the use of the bits! I recomend this for any and all horses!

This is a perfectly balanced bit for a horse with a small mouth and a low palate. He hates the nutcracker action of the single jointed snaffles but this snaffle has made him quieter and there is no more head tossing!! The thicker sides help with his sensitive mouth and sweet iron my boy loves. Would recommened this to anyone whose horse has a low palate.
